To All Our Fight for the Fox Participants!

Thank you again for attending our first Fight for the Fox event. We run other tourneys throughout the year, and this was our first Fall event and from all the feedback we received, it seemed to really help all our coaches and teams out and things ran smoothly. There were great games and championships!

We appreciate all our teams coming from close and afar! Next year we expect growth, especially if we move it into the October time frame. We are considering that. Next year we would like to also implement the Combine phase of the event to do even more for athletes getting their names out to college coaches at the 8th grade and older age divisions. We will keep you updated on any changes.

For now, make sure if you are an 8th grade and older athlete to utilize that Sports Recruits platform you were invited to, update your profile page, search out colleges, favorite them, email coaches, and make your greatness known!

Please take a moment to follow us on social media as we are posting team championship pictures and action shots out there and will be sharing the All-Stars as well. You should see final All-Star announcements by the end of next week.

For those who would like to order FFF apparel, we did create an online store for your convenience.

You can find apparel options at:

https://shirtsngigglesonline.com/shop/ols/products/ombre-performance-hoodie-mbr-prf-hd1

Final orders are due Monday, October 4th.

Thank you again for being the FIRST FIGHT FOR THE FOX athletes!

Have an incredible rest of your week and good luck to all during this 2021-22 basketball season!

Respectfully,

Hi Fight for the Fox Participants.

I received a few questions and just want to share with the rest of the teams.

1. What times dow you expect the tournament to run so our families can determine if they need to keep their hotel or not?

The way we have the tourney configured with the number of courts available we can easily run games every other hour in a play, off, play, off, play fashion. The way I have it mapped out right now we would run games anywhere between 9am and 4pm or 10am and 5pm. Essentially, as an example....you could have games at 9, 11, and 1pm or 10, 12, and 2pm. I would plan anywhere between 9am and 5pm right now until we get the tournament schedule finalized by the end of next week.

2. What do you mean by, "We would give all your teams a refund that would equate to a payment of $375 per team."

For example, if you paid $425, your refund would be $50, to reflect a payment from you of $375. If you paid $475, your refund would be $100, to reflect a payment from you of $375. Some teams paid different prices because of early bird registrations or multiple team discounts. At this point, we have the price set as low as it can go to make sure all of the costs associated with running the event are covered.

We will refund any monies due to you no later than a week before the event starts.

3. I had some issues working with the Site Search hotel contact.

We typically do not hear about any hotel issues until after the event. If you are having any issues on the hotel front, PLEASE let your Director/Coach know and have them reach out to me. I am here for you. I will work with them to see how we can better accommodate any issues you have along the way or now changes created by our change up in schedule. The last thing I want is for you to have any bad experiences! This is supposed to be an awesome weekend!

4. Can we still keep our hotels and make it a weekend?

Absolutely! There are still great things to do in Appleton! We have the following events going on this weekend and many things to go see and do in the Fox Cities and Green Bay:

Octoberfest (Friday - Saturday)
Lambeau Field

Let's make it a great weekend!

Have a wonderful day!

Hello Fight for the Fox Directors, Coaches, Participants, and Spectators,

Thank you for registering for our FFF event scheduled this September.

This is a first year fall event, and we are excited for the action to come!

As we continue to get closer to our registration close date this Friday and review the status of feedback we have received we would like to implement a schedule change for this event to make it more conducive for you and your teams this fall.

Hotels seem to be an expensive proposition this year as The Ryder Cup (professional golf) is in Kohler and all the hotels in our area increase their costs and they have been hovering at $200 - $300 per night which we don't like the thought of for our participants.

We are sitting good with four teams in each division - with just a few teams needed to finalize the event.

Because there are four teams per division, we have decided to transition this event from a 2 day, 4 game tourney, to a 1 day, 3 game, 14 minute stop clock tourney on Saturday, September 25, 2021. It would make more sense to provide you with that setup, so you don't have to play a team twice, you are less likely to have to spend more money on hotels or any at all, and we can save you one more warm "summer" day for home.

We would give all your teams a refund that would equate to a payment of $375 per team. We would apply this through PayPal to your Directors/Coaches or if it's past the refund time, we would send a check for the difference.

We will still be providing our marketing services for our athletes through Sports Recruits, Big Bark Media, and up to date event highlights and more. We would provide awards for the top team in each division who has the best record of three games. WIAA officials will still be used and we believe keeping the stop clock rules would allow coaches to manage the games more strategically and give you more minutes of play and keep the games highly competitive.

We will be updating the details online by the end of the weekend at https://blaze365.com/fightforthefox/ but wanted to make sure you knew first hand.

The only thing we would need you to do on your end is make any hotel changes or cancellations you need on your end. One of the reasons we wanted to make a firm decision on this earlier than later is so you don't end up with any late cancellation issues!

Directors and Coaches, I started making calls but people weren't picking up - and figured if you didn't recognize my number...emailing you nad your teams was the next best option! If you have any questions, or needs, please reach out to me. If we do not hear from you by Friday, we assume you have reached out to your families, and are good to go.

We look forward to making this the best 1st annual FIGHT FOR THE FOX event, providing the best event for you this fall, and building towards the future for all your athletes!

Respectfully,
Lisa Van Wyk
