UC/Utah Bantam COVID-19 Protocols Covid-19 Protocols MUST be Read & Followed! Parent Attendance: 1 Parent/Guardian Per Player is all that is allowed to attend games. Rule is to comply with district and individual school guidlines across all of our venues and may be more stringent than your personal area. No younger siblings or children allowed to attend. Extra parents cannot attend if 1 player does not have a parent attending. Each player gets 1 ONLY (this includes assistant coaches & score keepers, Head Coach may have another parent attend). Recommendation: Have an attending parent stream your game on Facebook Live or another streaming service. Prior to games: DO NOT ENTER until the previous game ends and gyms begin to empty. This will occur approximately 5 minutes prior to your game time. After games: EXIT very quickly to the parking lot for any team meetings, team business, etc. Water bottles must be brought by each player. Drinking fountains are not to be used. Hand Sanitizer: Each team should have some for all players and use it: Before each game, at all time outs and at half-time. It will be available at all entry points and at each scorers table. Clearing Players to play is the responsibility of the coach and parents of each team. Please be sure that any player exhibiting ANY Covid-19 symptoms DOES NOT ENTER the gym or remain around teammates. Covid-19 symptoms include: Fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, cough, trouble breathing, sore throat, muscle aches and pains, as well as other symptoms - if you, players or parents don't feel well STAY HOME! CDC COVID-19 Symptoms Click Here Contact tracing: Teams will keep track of what parent/guardian attended each game with a player. If contact tracing becomes necessary it can be done by emailing each team. Social Distancing: Please maintain social distancing in stands (6 feet apart from people outside of your household) MASKS: MUST be worn by anyone inside the facility that is not actively involved in the game (Players & officials). Players should wear masks up until the time that they begin to warm up for games. Masks should be worn on benches by Coaches and Players. If a player, Coach or attendee has a medical reason for not masking, please have them bring a copy of medical advice, asthma medication or evidence of this so that we are abiding by the Governor's mandate to have all people in schools wear a mask. Those not wearing a mask for medical reasons will be required to social distance. Mask/Covid-19 Rules Compliance: If anyone outside of players in the game/warm-ups or officials is not wearing a mask, officials will stop the game until the mask is put on. Should the game be stopped more than 1 time for an attendee or coach, this person will be required to leave the school facility completely. If games are stopped more than 3 times for masks not being worn by coaches, attendees or bench players the game will be ended and teams asked to leave immediately. Teams that are repeated violators of Covid-19 rules, including the use of masks can have parent attendance removed or be removed from the league without refund. Feeling sick? All players, coaches, or spectators that are not feeling well should please stay at home. Cooperation: It takes everyone cooperating to have a safe and fun league for everyone. Please be patient and follow the rules so all involved are able to enjoy a season until we are able to resume a more customary season. Canceled Game Protocols In the unfortunate event that a school closes, will not allow games that have been previously scheduled or teams do not attend due to illness, injury or weather protocols are below. School closing/Cancelling games: Unfortunately these games cannot be made up or rescheduled. We will attempt to replace the facility if at all possible depending on many factors including time of notice and availability of other venues. Other Cancelations/Forfeits: Games lost to forfeit, illness, weather, or any other cancelations will not be made up and will not be refunded as customary. Refunds: School closing or school canceling of games ONLY will be refunded to teams that have games canceled. Games will be refunded as follows: (league cost/number of games in league) x .80% = refund amount) Refunds will be sent out a quickly as possible for games lost for schools closing or canceling games. No Refunds: For forfeits, illness, weather cancelations, or any other reason. No refund for teams withdrawing due to illness, injury, or for any other reason once the schedule has been published.
