Welcome to the Southeastern National Chmapionship presented by D1 Nation Basketball and Ballertv, D1 Nation would like to thank all the great youth basketball programs that are participating in this D1 Nation sanctioned event & for choosing us for your youth basketball experience. We look forward to providing your organization with an excellent weekend of exciting & competitive youth basketball! We wish good luck this weekend to all teams!


1. REGISTRATION: All teams must send a representative (NO PLAYERS) to pick up your tournament package at the gym of your first game. No coaches passes will be issued at any other gym.

Registration: TEAMS MUST PICK UP THERE PACKAGES AT THE GYM OF FIRST GAME . PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE GYM WITH OUT YOUR CREDENTIALS. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY!!!

2. ROSTER:. We will issue pre printed score sheets for your convenience. After the roster is turned in. No additions can be made to the roster is closed.

3. GAME BALLS: Teams will proved Game balls for game play only.

4. SCHEDULE - Schedule will be posted on the D1spects website- Noon Wednesday. Please do not call about the schedule. We will email you once it is completed. Please ask your parents to down load the exposure event app. All changes will be made there. Final schedule will be posted on Thursday.

5. Championship Brackets: TBD

AWARDS: Trophies will be issued for Gold Champion only- Medals will be given to players and coaches for Champions in the Gold Division Only.

6. Coachs Attire: Coaches must were either a Coaches shirt with a collar or Team t-shirt with team name on it. Shorts are acceptable. NO FLIP FLOPS.

7. GAME TIME is GAME TIME ... 15 min grace period will be given. The team that is late will be penalized a point for every minute late. Clock will be running clock should the game start 15 minutes late.

Game Rules:

Game Rules for D1spects Basketball Tournaments

Note: The National High School Federation Rules & Regulations will apply to all D1spects games with the following exceptions:


1. 8th– HS - 16 minute halves - Clock stops , One and One on 7 fouls , 5 time outs per game
6th -7th 14 minute halves- Clock stops , One and One on 7 fouls , 5 time outs per game
Elementary (1st- 5th) - 12 minute halves - Clock stops, 1 and 1 on 7 fouls , 5 time outs

Boys 2nd-6th Grade and all girls teams will play with the 28.5 intermediate basketball

2. 5 minutes will be allotted for pre-game warm up time and halftime. This time may be adjusted at the discretion of the gym director. Games may start ahead of schedule if agreed upon by both head coaches.

3. 5 Timeouts per game (3 Full, 2 30-sec). One additional timeout per team will be allowed for each overtime period. There will be no carry over of timeouts to the two-minute overtime period.

4. Two direct technical fouls on any player, coach, or team representative will result in an immediate ejection from the facility and disqualification for the following game.

5. D1 Nation will provide book & clock operators at all sites, however if a D1 rep is unavailable, the home team will be responsible for providing a needed book or clock operator.

6. If a team has a 20-point lead at any point in the game, the clock will run continuously except during a timeout. To resume normal clock operation, the trailing team must shrink the deficit to under 20 points in the first 3 quarters. To resume normal clock operation, the trailing team must shrink the deficit to under 10 points in the 4 quarter. A team with a 30-point lead is not permitted to press full court.


7. Each Overtime period will be 2 minutes. Each team will receive one time out


8. Each team is responsible for their own warm-up basketballs and game basketballs and/or any other items brought to game. The designated home team will provide the game basketball.


9. If a team forfeits two or more pool play games for a given tournament, the team will be disqualified from the event and cannot participate in the tournament rounds of competition for that event. A forfeit for any reason will result in a 15-0 win for the non-forfeited team. All decisions in this matter are at the discretion of the tournament director.

10. A 10-minute grace period will be extended for late-arriving teams, a forfeit will occur after this point.

11. Coaches must have coach’s band placed on wrist at all times, lost passes will need to be purchased.

Roster Rules for D1 Nation Basketball Tournaments

1. Boys participate at current grade level (age limits apply)
2. Girls participate at current grade level (age limits apply)
3. Proof of age and grade is required.
a. Acceptable Proof of Age: clean photocopies of birth certificates, state-issued ID, adoption documentation, immigration documentation, school documentation, or passport.
b. Acceptable Proof of Grade: clean copy of school issued report card/progress report from current calendar year/semester.
Note: Teams are required to have proof of age/grade upon tournament check-in.
4. Players can play up in grade level, but not down.
5. Players must remain on one roster and cannot participate on two different teams in the same grade level (regardless if team is in same organization).
6. No roster additions will be permitted after the team has begun play of its first game.
7. Any team violating roster or team rules will be disqualified.
8. Eligibility Protests: Only head coaches are allowed to challenge the legitimacy or eligibility of an opposing player. Fans, parents, and assistant coaches are not allowed to make an official challenge. Challenges must be made immediately after the game, no challenge can be made after 15 minutes. See tournament director for challenge cost.
9. Players who are found to be illegal will result in an automatic loss for that team & player disqualification from the event; please ensure all players are compliant with the eligibility criteria. If no documents are present for proof of identity, the player in question is disqualified!
10. All Decisions in ALL matters made for the event are at the discretion of the tournament director at the facility in question.

Game Play

•All Game balls will be wiped down with germ sanitizing solutions prior to warmups /2nd half
• Each bench chair will be sanitized prior to each game
• Hand sanitizer will be available at each scorers table for athletes to use at their discretion
• Balls may only be used for game play and warm up. Balls will not be allowed to be dribbled or handled outside the court area. NO DRIBBLING IN COMMON AREAS

Teams are strongly encouraged to refrain from entering the facilities until 10-15 minutes before your game times to help with social distancing.

We will be cognitive of all CDC guidelines

GRADE BASED COMPETITION RULES

2ND GRADE – An athlete must be in the 2nd grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 9 on August 31, 2021.

3RD GRADE – An athlete must be in the 3rd grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 10 on August 31, 2021.

4TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 4th grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 11 on August 31, 2021.

5TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 5th grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 12 on August 31, 2021.

6TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 6th grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2021.

7TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 7th grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2021.

8TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 8th grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2021.

HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION RULES

15U/9TH GRADE – An athlete can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2021. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th Grade as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2021.

Coaches , Players , and Parents:

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Southeastern National Championship (W) @ Rockytop Sportsworld Here is some information that will help make you trip more enjoyable.

Coaches will be given Three wrist bands at registration . Coaches names must be on the approved roster. Credentials can only be picked up at Gym of First Game.

GENERAL RULES
All Divisions
• Teams must provide their own warm up balls
• Home team wears light colored uniforms (bottom)
• Visitor team wears dark colored uniforms (top) 
• Home team sits to the left of scorers table
• Visitor teams sits to the right of scorers table
• Each team will warm up on the end opposite its bench
• Twenty (20) point second half mercy rule
• Two man referee crews
• Players foul out of the game on their 5th foul
• Clock stops on dead balls. 

TIEBREAKER RULE
All Divisions 1) If two teams are tied, the tiebreaker is decided by head-to- head competition. 2) If more than two teams are tied, the tiebreaker is decided by the point differentials of only the teams involved (15 point cap per game). The highest number receives the higher seed and the second highest will receive the next lower seed, ect. 3) If more than two are tied after using the above tiebreaker formula, the point differential of the teams not involved in the tie are added and recalculated (15 point cap per game).

6TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 6th grade or below as of  October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 13 on August 31, 2021.

7TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 7th grade or below as of  October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 14 on August 31, 2021.

8TH GRADE – An athlete must be in the 8th grade or below as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 15 on August 31, 2021.

HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION RULES

15U/9TH GRADE – An athlete can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2021. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th Grade as of October 1, 2020 and can be no older than 16 on August 31, 2021.

Planning NCAA Certification

This event is planning to be a NCAA certified event.

All teams participating at an NCAA certified event must register online prior to reporting to participate in the event. Failure to register and submit all required information will result in a team being denied participation in all NCAA certified events. Coaches are expected to keep their online rosters updated.

All individuals who are involved in coaching activities at a NCAA certified event must renew their USA Basketball Coach License and be approved by the NCAA prior to participation in the event. This must be completed in order to sit on a bench at any NCAA certified event.
