3rd Annual Hoops De Mayo SOLD OUT

We had a really fun weekend with all the teams, fans, players, and coaches. Just wanted to throw out a big thank you for supporting Panhandle and SES basketball tourneys in Panama City. Panhandle has some great events coming up that you won't want to miss.

Next weekend in Mobile is almost sold out. Get in now if you want to hop in. It's going to go waiting list in a day or two at most.

May 18th/19th Panhandle is hosting 3 events in 3 cities.
Pensacola is an all girls tournament and has a great field so far.
Panama City is hosting their Annual Beach Bash tourney for boys only as the girls teams will be in Pensacola.
Mobile, AL is hosting King of the Hardwood.

All three events have great fields. For anyone that played with us for Hoops De Mayo and want to run it back in Panama City, please reach out to Chris for a special rate for your team.

Hey everyone,
Hope your having fun. Will have some slight bracket adjustments. A girls team didn't show so please double check. Should be final by 9:30. Very small adjustments but please double check later tonight. We will post a message when brackets are final.

Couple of minor revisions for Varsity and 10th boys and able to move up a few teams at NBH an hour. PLEASE CHECK SCHEDULE UPDATES and make sure you are good to go. Very minor changes but a few.

Schedule is final. Will post brackets for Sunday later tonight.

Had a team drop out. I will have a few small changes and will send a message when schedule is final. Won't affect many teams. Please double check schedule later today and we will send out when schedule is locked.

Hi everyone, couple of quick notes. Please educate your parents if they don't know on some of this:
1.) We will start at 9:10 AM on Saturday at our three venues. Doors will open promptly at 8:45 AM. Please do not bang on glass or try to get in early. We need time to set the gyms. Thank you for respecting this.

2.) Some parents don't understand how travel clocks work. It's a running clock 1st and 2nd half. The clock only stops on timeouts, referee call for stop clock, or a timeout. The last 2 minutes of the game is stop clock for every dead ball situation.

3.) Free throws: We utilize the 1 free throw rule. If a player gets fouled on a 2 point shot, they will get 1 free throw and if they make it worth 2 points. If a player gets fouled on a 3 point attempt, one free throw for 3 points. If a player gets fouled on a made shot, .the "and 1" automatically counts and no free throw. Last 2 minutes of the game we will revert back to normal free throws with 1 and 1 and double bonus in play.

4.) Sportsmanship: We have had an awesome turnout for first three tournaments with no issues and we expect the same. We will remove any player, parent, coach or team representative who uses vulgar language, is overly abusive to referees, or instigates a hostile environment. If you have that loud parent, warn them, we will not tolerate it and will forfeit a team if their parent is acting out with no refunds. In three years of hosting we have only had to do this once.

5.) Please make sure you are registered on NSID or have a book if any team wants to challenge your roster for age verification. Challenges must be made before a game, not after. We will not allow any challenge after a game.

6.) Players must play on Saturday to be eligible on Sunday. A team can not add players on Sunday if they have not played Saturday.

7.) Bench cleaning: Friendly reminder to have your team throw away their trash after each game.

8.) Only players and 2 coaches are allowed on player side of court. No videographers are allowed on the players side. This will be strictly enforced. Also no one but a coach is allowed to approach the scorer's table or a player substituting in. A technical will be assessed to the affiliate team if anyone approaches the table. Again this hasn't been an issue but sharing for teams that are running with us the 1st time. Statisticians must sit on the bench not at the table. We provide book and clock so you don't have too.

9/.) Please bring your own warm up balls. Home team will provide game ball each match.

Thanks for choosing to ball with Panhandle in Panama City this weekend. Couple of quick notes:
Please email (chris@legistixsolutions.com) or text me 850-338-4578 with schedule requests no later than 5:00 PM Tuesday night.
If you have not paid please do so by Tuesday night at 5:00 PM. We are good on all divisions and close to sold out. I would like to release the schedule Wed night but need everyone paid and requests in to do so.
Our gate is 15.00 daily and 25.00 weekend pass with kids 12 and under free.
We allow 2 armbands per team for coaches. We will give both armbands to the team first coach to check in.
Please have your team age verified through National Sports ID or have your book if aan opposing coach chooses to challenge your roster.
Players can play in two divisions if they are playing up and in their own age division. No player can play on two different teams in the same age division.
A player must play or be on bench Saturday to play Sunday. No team is allowed to bring in a player Sunday only.
We supply book and clock. You provide warm up balls and home team provides game ball.
