Great Saturday of ball so for. Brackets are live and published. Have a great finish to Saturday and we will see everyone Sunday. Thanks again for running with Panhandle basketball in Panama City. We appreciate you coming to the 850 to ball.

We will post brackets late tonight but they are subject to change in the rare case a team forfeits or is not eligible to play Sunday. Please no requests on moving bracket times because of drive time, coaching avaiilablity, etc. We used an extra gym this tournament so we would not have late games on Sunday. Last championship is at 4:00ish on Sunday so everyone should have plenty of time to get home.

For all gyms:

Please, no one other than players and coaches on the bench and at the scorer's table side.

Please give us time to set up gyms on Saturday. Here's when our gym opens. Plese do not knock on the doors, we are inside getting the gyms perfect.

Breakfast Point Academy: Gym opens at 9:00 AM, first game at 9:20. (We have to wait for men's league to finish).

North Bay Haven, Bay Haven Charter Academy, Mosley, Rutherford, all will open at 8:00 AM with first game at 8:30

its going to be tough to get all of your schedule requests in when you factor in teams that want early AND to be in the same gym for multiple team. We will do our best!

Hi everyone,

The following restaurants can accomodate parties of 20 or more just need to call ahead for a reservation.

Downtown Panama City:
House of Henry (Dakotah)
History Class Brewing Company (Fontella)
El Weirdo Taco Pub

Beachside:
Hammerhead Freds (Brad)
C Level (Chaz)
Off the Hook (Keith)

Just call any of those restaurants and reference the name in parentheses and say you are with the tournament. It's extremely busy as a tourist destination but these great partners always have room for group seating for our teams. All of them are solid, and as a local, I recommend all of them! The three in town are very close to all of our venues and perfect for a spot to eat between games. The three on the beach are perfect spots to go to after a day of games. Off the Hook is right on the lagoon and is a laid back spot while Freds and C Level are close to the beach and have traditional seafood and steak menus. Hope that helps if the team wants to get out!

Timeline:

Registration closes Monday at 9:00 PM CST (we are close to sold out but can still take a few teams and working on adding to girls divisions.)

Teams registered and paid released Monday night at 9:00 PM CST.

Schedule release will be Wednesday around 5:00 PM CST, hopefully earlier if we fill those last few spots.

Any schedule changes will be posted on Thursday and updates emailed from exposure.

FINAL SCHEDULE locks Thursday night and Saturday brackets released.

Saturday 8:30 AM: First games tip.

General information for Big South Nationals in Panama City July 20th and 21st:

Gate: $20.00 day pass, $30.00 weekend pass. Cash only at the door. 12 and under is free!

Coaches bands: Maximum 2 coaches bands per team. The first coach that checks in will receive both armbands for the team if they have two coaches.

Videographers/Statisticians: We respectfully ask that any videographers and stats personnel DO NOT stand on the player side where benches are in all facilities. No videography from the bench, you must be on spectator side. Same goes with statisticians.

Scorer's table: Only players and coaches allowed at scorer's table. No parents or statisticians allowed at coach's table. Any team violating this rule will be subject to forfeit. We provide both book and clock and are people are well trained. We are happy to provide two at the table so you don't have to be there. Please respect this rule and no one at the table :)

Game balls: Home team will provide game ball.

Code of Conduct: All teams are responsible for their fans. We have hosted for years here and continue to strive for enjoyable environments with no abusive language towards referees and players. Please celebrate the players and watching our athletes play in a great tournament. We will remove any parents. coaches, or players with abusive language, fighting, coming on the court etc. This is not an issue at our tournaments and we don't expect any at this tournament. This a zero tolerance policy. We will have security at the gyms and cameras at all facilities. Please respect our venues, our refereees,and our staff. We do it right and spend extra to do so. All we ask is you enjoy the tournament and do it the right way. Thanks for your help with this coaches. You are responsible for your parents

Basketballs: 3rd thru 6th grade boys and all girls divisions will use a 28.5 ball. Boys 7th and up will use 29.5

Team Age Verify: Panhandle requires all teams to be on NSID. If you are not, you will need a "book" with current birth certificates and report cards from the 23-24 Academic calendar. Any team knowingly cheating with players will be subject to forfeit and removal from tournament.

Schedule Requests: We will send out an email from exposure tomorrow. Remember this is a request and not a guarantee, but we are pretty good at making Saturday work. There are no requests for Sunday. We can't predict how you will finish and what bracket play looks like. We do use as many gyms as we can on Sunday so we don't go too late. I don't anticipate any of the championships starting later than 5:00 PM with most divisions wrapped up by 3:00 PM championship starts.

Vending/Concessions: All venues are scheduled with either a food truck or in house vending/concessions.

Game rules: Will be posted in a separate email.

Lodging: For out of town teamss coming that have not booked yet, we do have some lodging partners with discounted rates. Those hotels are close to full but we have rooms left at a few properties. Please email Chris@legistixsolutions.com if you need any lodging assistance.

Enjoying Panama City: We have teams from eight states and thankful for all of you for coming to our little slice of paradise. We can help with large group requests for meals at local restaurants, setting up team rates for shell island excursions, shipwreck island, or race city (popular tourist attraction venus.) Happy to help make your trip here a blast, just let us know where we can assist.

We will have staff at every gym. Schedule scores will update in real time. We highly recommend you download the exposure app if you don't have it so you can follow scores, standings, and bracket play Sundays. Once brackets lock Saturday night, we will not make changes!

Hi everyone,
If you have not paid please do so to ensure your spot for the Big South Nationals. We are officially on a waiting list in some divisions. We will remove teams that are not paid on Sunday night at 7:00 PM so we can start moving teams off the waiting list and into pools.
