OK Fadeaway Hoops Fall 3v3 League Rules and Jersey Sizes Needed

Dear Coaches and Teams,

Thank you for registering for the OK Fadeaway Hoops Fall 3v3 League! We are excited to have you join us for a fantastic season of competitive basketball. Please review the important league rules and provide the required jersey sizes for your team.

League Information:

• Season Dates: September 1 - November 24 (Sundays, 9 AM - 3 PM)
• Game Location: Boys and Girls Club, 3535 N Western Ave, OKC, OK
• Game Dates: Sept 1st, 15th, 29th | Oct 13th, 27th | Nov 10th, 24th
Each team is guaranteed 2 games per week, totaling 12 games plus an All-Star Game on November 24th.

Divisions:

• K-2nd Grade (Coed)
• 3rd/4th Grade (Coed)
• 5th/6th Grade (Boys & Girls)
• 7th/8th Grade (Boys & Girls)
• High School (Boys & Girls)

Team Composition:

• 3 players on the court
• 4-5 players per team

Game Structure:

• Two 8-minute periods
• Clock stops on all dead balls and free throws
• 2-minute halftime
• 4-minute warm-up between games

Requirements:

• All players must be National Sports ID certified.
• Get certified here.

Rules:

1. Starting the Game:
• The home team receives the ball first to start the game.
2. Scoring:
• Free throws count as 1 point.
3. Clock Management:
• The clock stops on all dead balls and free throws to ensure fair play and ample game time.
4. Uniforms:
• Includes uniform tops for all players.
• Players need to have their own shorts.
5. Sportsmanship:
• We expect all players, coaches, and spectators to exhibit good sportsmanship at all times.

Important League Rules:

General Rules:

• Ball Sizes:
• Boys’ divisions 7th grade and up use a size 29.5 ball.
• Girls’ divisions 3rd grade and up use a size 28.5 ball.
• Boys and girls in 2nd grade and below use a size 27.5 ball.
• 2nd grade and below divisions can use a size 28.5 ball if both coaches agree.
• Team Composition:
• Each team shall have 4-5 players (3 on the court and 1-2 substitutes).
• Game Structure:
• Two 8-minute periods.
• Clock stops during dead ball situations and free throws.
• 2-minute halftime.
• 4-minute warm-up between games.


Starting the Game:

• The home team receives the ball first.
• The game must start with three players on the court.

Scoring:

• 1 point for each successful shot inside the arc.
• 2 points for each successful shot behind the arc.
• 1 point for each successful free throw.

Fouls and Free Throws:

• Team fouls reset to zero at the start of the second half.
• A team is in penalty after 5 fouls; any fouls beyond 8 are technical.
• Fouls during a shot inside the arc result in one free throw; fouls during a shot behind the arc result in two free throws.
• Successful shots followed by a foul receive an additional free throw.
• Fouls 6-8 result in two free throws; the 9th foul and beyond result in two free throws and possession.

Substitutions:

• Substitutions can be made by any team when the ball is dead before the check-ball.
• The substitute can enter the game after his teammate leaves the court and establishes physical contact with him.
• Substitutions can only take place behind the end line opposite the basket.


Stalling:

• Stalling or failing to play actively is a violation.
• If the court is equipped with a shot clock, a team must attempt a shot within 12 seconds. The clock starts as soon as the ball is in the offensive player’s hands.


Jersey Sizes Needed:

To ensure all players receive the correct uniform tops, please provide the jersey sizes for each player on your team. Reply to this email with the following information:

• Team Name
• Player Names and Corresponding Jersey Sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium, Youth Large, Adult Small, Adult Medium, Adult Large, etc.)

• Team Name: OKC Thunder
• Player 1: John Doe, Youth Medium
• Player 2: Jane Smith, Adult Small
• Player 3: Michael Johnson, Youth Large

Dear Coaches and Team Managers,

As we approach the start of the OK Fadeaway Hoops Fall 3v3 League, we’re excited to welcome you and your teams for an exciting season of basketball. With just three weeks to go until the season kicks off on September 1st, we wanted to send a quick reminder regarding a few important details:

1. Roster Submission Deadline: August 25th
Please ensure that all team rosters are finalized and submitted by August 25th. A roster link has been sent to you, which you can use to finalize your team’s information. This allows us to efficiently organize game schedules and ensure a smooth start to the season.

2. National Sports ID Certification:
Every player must be National Sports ID certified to participate in the league. This certification ensures fair play and age verification across all teams. Please complete the certification process as soon as possible by visiting OK Fadeaway Age & Grade Verification.

3. Game Dates:
The league will run from September 1st to November 24th, with games scheduled on Sundays from 9 AM to 3 PM. Each team is guaranteed 2 games per week, leading to a total of 12 games plus an All-Star game on November 24th.

4. Uniforms:
Uniform tops will be provided for all players. However, players will need to bring their own shorts. Please ensure that your team is equipped with the necessary gear to participate.

5. Rules and Regulations:
To ensure everyone is on the same page, we have attached a copy of the league rules and regulations. Please review them carefully and share them with your players and their families. This will help us maintain a fair and competitive environment throughout the season.

Important 3v3 League Update – Schedule, Rules, and Game Day Info

Dear Coaches,

We hope you’re doing well! This is a quick reminder about the upcoming start of our OK Fadeaway Hoops Fall 3v3 League.

Schedule:

The official game schedule will be sent out on Wednesday evening. Please be on the lookout for it, as the first games will begin this Sunday, September 15th. Game times will be scheduled between 10 AM and 2 PM each day, so please ensure your teams are ready. Download our app OK Fadeaway Hoops to receive schedule.

Here are the game dates for the league:

• September 15th
• September 29th
• October 13th
• October 27th
• November 10th
• November 24th (Championship and All-Star games)

All teams will qualify for the post-season tournament, which will take place on November 24th. This is a 10-12 game league, so please ensure your teams are prepared for a competitive season.

Scheduling Restrictions:

If your team has any scheduling restrictions for the season, please send them to us by tonight at 9 PM. After this deadline, we will finalize the schedule and may not be able to accommodate any changes.

All-Star Games:

Participants for the All-Star games will be voted on by the coaches. Each team will have at least one player selected by the other coaches, with a maximum of two players from any one team being chosen for the All-Star game.

Game Format and Key Rules:

Attached to this email, you’ll find the complete game rules and format. Please take the time to review it with your team. Below are some key points:

Ball Sizes:
• Boys’ divisions 7th grade and up use a size 29.5 ball.
• Girls’ divisions 3rd grade and up use a size 28.5 ball.
• Boys and girls in 2nd grade and below use a size 27.5 ball.
Game Time:
• Regular playing time is 8 minutes. The clock stops during dead balls and free throws, restarting once the ball is in the offensive team’s hands.
Shot Clock: Teams must attempt a shot within 14 seconds.
Scoring:
• 1 point for each successful shot inside the arc.
• 2 points for each successful shot behind the arc.
• 1 point for each successful free throw.
Fouls:
• A team is in penalty after 5 fouls. Any fouls beyond 8 are technical fouls.
• Fouls during a shot inside the arc result in one free throw; fouls during a shot behind the arc result in two free throws.

National Sports ID Certification: All players must be certified via National Sports ID (NSID) to participate. This certification is valid for all our events from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025. Please complete the certification process as soon as possible at OK Fadeaway Age & Grade Verification. Any player who is protested and not NSID verified will not be eligible to play.

Rosters:

Please make sure all rosters are finalized and updated on Exposure Events before the first game. Rosters should include 4-5 players per team.
