Good Morning,

Thank you for signing up for the 2024 PVBL Martin Luther King Jr. 1-Day Challenge. We are currenlty working on schedules. 1st Draft of Schedules will be out either late tonight or by 8:00 am tomorrow morning.

- All players should be in their uniform before going into the gym!
- Spectator Fee is $15.00.
- Max. 2 Coaches per team allowed at no charge (All Coaches must check-in at their first location in order to get band)

Unfortunately, due to an issue with the school's gym, the locations are about 25 min from each other. Please check after each game, to find out where your next game is. We are trying to minimalize the wait time in between games as best as we can. Access to the gym will start at 8:45 a.m on Saturday January 18, 2024

Trophies will be awarded immediately following Championship Game. The site manager at the Championship Game will handle that. It is imperative team go to the area designated immediately after your game is over to get the trophy and have your picture taken.

All games that are recorded will be uploaded to the Potomac Valley Facebook page.

Good Morning,

I hope this message finds everyone healthy and safe. Once again, thank you for joining the Martin Luther King Jr 1-Day Challenge.

Access to the gyms will not be allowed until 8:50 a.m. on Saturday January 18, 2025.

It is imperative that everyone makes sure that they check there schedule to ensure they arrive to there assigned gym on-time. After every game, please check the schedule to know where your next game is. The link to the schedule is https://basketball.exposureevents.com/224658/pvbl-mlk-1-day-challenge/schedule. Venue addresses are also on that link at a different tab. The schedule should be updated within 10 minutes of the completion of each game accordingly!

As a clarification, the spectator fee is $15 for the day. Spectators and up to 2 Coaches will be issued a band that they must wear that will allow them to get in all of the location.

Coaches at the end of every game, please have your trash picked up and as quickly as possible clear the bench for the next team. Teams that win a champtionship, please move to the hall appropiately for a picture and to receive their trophy.

Attached are the rules for the tournament. Please note that their is one rule that is missing that only effects 4th grade teams. 4th Grade teams are not allowed to press the first half unless agreed upon by both coaches and cleared with the referees.

4th Grade teams - After the 3:00 pm game is completed, please check the schedule prior to heading to your next location as it may have to be changed based upon the results to avoid a conflict in schedule.

Should you have any issues, please see the on-site staff for assistance. Management will be available by text primarily, due to poor reception in some of the schools.
