We are looking forward to this weekend! Here are a few additional details:

Card Only: The gate this weekend will only be accepting card payments. Please let your fans and parents know.

No Outside Food or Drinks: The gym does not allow outside food or drinks. Water and Gatorade are permitted.

Additional Seating: We understand that aluminum bleachers can be uncomfortable. The gym allows you to bring your own chairs, but they must have rubber bottoms to protect the court.

We are excited to announce that the schedule for Crossover Classic has been posted! Click the link at the bottom of the email to view the schedule. Below are a few more details for this weekend along with DYSports’ Code of Conduct. Please make sure to pass this info along to coaches and parents:

ALL TEAMS ARE SCHEDULED AT LEAST 3 GAMES. If you are unable to find all three games or have any questions about the schedule, please reach out.

The gym will open 30 minutes prior to the first game of the day. No one will be allowed in until 30 minutes prior.

Home and Away: When looking at the schedule, bottom Team is Home (White) and Top Team Away (Dark)

Admission Fee for Fans: CARD ONLY
- $10 for adults plus transaction fees (per day)
- $5 for seniors and kids 12 yrs old and younger plus transaction fees (per day)
- Two coaches per team get free admissions

Referees:
Please remind yourself, coaches, parents, and players to respect the referees throughout the weekend. Without our respected referees, this weekend’s tournament would not have been able to happen.

Tournament Rule:
Rules are attached to this message. We have updated the rules to match current High School Rules so please review.
- 5th grade divisions and below are Man to Man Defense Only (5/6 combined divisions will enforce Man to Man rules)
- Each team will need to provide a parent to help with score clock/sheet.

Tournament Schedule

DYSports Code Of Conduct:

Respect All Participants: Treat players, coaches, referees, and fellow spectators with courtesy and respect. Remember, the primary purpose is to enjoy the game and support the young athletes.

Maintain Sportsmanship: Encourage fair play, honesty, and good sportsmanship at all times. Applaud skillful plays, regardless of the team.

Follow Tournament Rules: Abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the tournament organizers. Any concerns or disputes should be addressed through the appropriate channels in a respectful manner.

Positive Sideline Behavior: Cheer for your team positively and avoid negative comments or gestures. Refrain from engaging in any form of disruptive behavior that may detract from the game.

Respect Facilities and Property: Keep the tournament venues clean and orderly. Respect the property of the facilities and organizers.

Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols outlined by the tournament organizers. Your safety and the safety of others are of utmost importance.

No Harassment or Discrimination: Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying. Our tournament embraces diversity and inclusion, and we expect all participants to do the same.

Comply with Officials' Decisions: Accept the decisions of the referees and tournament officials, even if you may not agree. Disputes should be handled through the appropriate channels after the game.

Encourage Skill Development: Focus on the development of players' skills and positive learning experiences rather than solely on winning or losing.

Jr. NBA Member

The Jr. NBA is the official youth basketball participation program of the NBA. The Jr. NBA includes a free, membership-based program for existing youth basketball leagues/organizations. The membership is to help encourage and support youth basketball participation at the grassroots level and improve the overall youth basketball experience for all participants. The Jr. NBA aims to develop a lifelong passion for the game of basketball in boys and girls ages 6-14 by teaching them the fundamentals of the sport while instilling core values including teamwork, respect and sportsmanship.
