365 HBL Spring Basketball League
Messages
Hi everyone,
We had our first round of All-Star games and it was amazing! Great games, great energy, and lots of fun all around. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a success.
The second round of All-Star games will take place on May 30th, and we still have three regular season games remaining.
Playoff brackets are now completed. Please note that several factors go into seeding. You can view the brackets by visiting the app under the Divisions section—select your grade, then click the Bracket option in the top right corner. Game times and locations will be finalized by this Wednesday. I’ll do my best to avoid coaching conflicts and honor any prior requests.
Admission: $10 per person for anyone 11 years old and up (per game).
Awards will be given to all participating teams.
Please be sure to communicate this with your parents as early as possible—it really helps.
Important Playoff Requirements:
-All players must show either report card grades or a current student ID before their first playoff game.
-We’ll also be checking previous rosters to confirm player eligibility and ensure teams are in the correct division.
-If your team doesn’t have jersey numbers entered in the system, please make sure that’s done by May 29th.
Thanks again for all your support and cooperation!
Best,
Alea Boyd
Hi Parents,
If your game is scheduled tomorrow at Magruder High School in the Auxiliary Gym, please be prepared to bring a chair.
We’ve requested chairs from the school, but just in case we’re unable to get them or there aren’t enough available, we want to make sure you have a seat and can enjoy the game comfortably.
Thank you for your flexibility and support!
Best,
Alea Boyd
Hi Coaches,
Thank you all for your participation and commitment throughout the Spring League season. With just a couple of weeks left before playoffs, I want to share a few important reminders as we prepare to wrap up the regular season.
I know many players are on multiple teams within the league, but for the playoffs, each player must choose ONE team per division and remain with that team throughout the playoffs. If a team is eliminated, players may not join another team in the same division.
However, if a player is on teams in different divisions—for example, a 3rd grade and 4th grade team—they are allowed to play in both playoffs as long as they are already on both rosters.
Please double-check your rosters now. All players should have been listed from the beginning of the season. No additions will be accepted once playoffs begin, even if a player has been with the team all season. Any team found in violation of this rule will be immediately disqualified.
More detailed information about the playoffs will be sent out soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you again for all you do!
Best regards,
Alea Boyd

Good afternoon coaches and managers,
I hope all is well! I'm looking into the possibility of running a summer league, likely starting 1-2 weeks after the spring season ends.
Before moving forward, I need to get a quick head count to see if enough teams would be interested in participating. Please let me know as soon as possible so I can determine whether it's worth organizing.
Thanks in advance for the quick response I really appreciate it!
Best,
Alea Boyd

There seems to be a race on rockville pike and our staff is having trouble getting the 8:20am games. They will arrive at 8:25am.This might make it difficult for other teams using Montrose Road and crossing Rockville Pike at areas, for the earlier games. Use waze app.

Hi everyone,
Just checking to see if any teams would be interested in playing games on Saturday 4/19 and/or Sunday 4/20. We’re trying to get a headcount to see if it makes sense to schedule games those days.
Please let me know as soon as possible if your team would be available and which day(s) you’d prefer. You can text me at (202) 615-3965 or email me at boydalea@gmail.com. Thanks!
We’re excited to share that the league schedule is now available! You can review it on the exposure app.
We are making a few final tweaks to ensure the best experience for all teams. If you spot anything that needs our attention, please let us know before Sunday. Our goal is to finalize everything by then, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable season for everyone.
Thank you for your patience and for being part of this great league. We appreciate your support and look forward to an amazing season ahead!
Best,
Alea Boyd

Attention Coaches, Managers, and Parents:
Please be mindful of your children during games. We ask that you take the following precautions:
• Keep children from climbing on the bleachers that are not fully pulled out.
• Ensure that children are not playing under the bleachers.
• Supervise children in the halls to prevent damage to the schools we are renting from.
• Please do not allow dribbling of basketballs in the hallways.
• The league will not be responsible for any injuries or damages caused by your child in the school facilities.
Additionally, if you bring or purchase snacks, please make sure to remove all trash from the gym before you leave. When your team finishes playing, please ensure all trash is taken with you from the bench. This includes water bottles, ice packs, and bandages. Please take all of your belongings—I will no longer be holding on to anything left behind.
Game Responsibilities:
• Please make sure you have someone available to run either the scoreboard or the scorebook. As a reminder, they do get in free.
• If you have not done so already, please make sure grade verifications are completed before your next game. Since service in the gym can be unreliable, we recommend bringing hard copies or screenshots to avoid any issues.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Welcome, new and returning teams, to the 365 Hoops Basketball League spring season! As we gear up for another great season, please take note of the following important details:
• Player Eligibility: All players must provide proof of grade before they are eligible to play.
• Roster Submission: Rosters must be submitted online before your first game. Failure to do so may result in a technical foul being assessed each game until the roster is uploaded.
• Jersey Numbers: If you do not yet have jersey numbers, you can submit just the names and update them later.
• League Rules: Updated league rules will be sent out before the first game.
• Schedule:
• The first weekend’s games are now posted.
• The full season schedule will be available by April 1st.
• No games will be held on April 19th-20th (Easter/Spring Break) or May 24th-25th (Memorial Day Weekend).
• Playoffs: May 31st - June 1st.
• If your team cannot play on a particular weekend, be prepared for the possibility of a Friday night game.
Looking forward to a great season! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
