As promised, each coach from the NIT, NCAA & NBA division receives (1) invite for a player to participate in the prestigious "Rucker On Wood" open gym series. This must be done no later than July 31st. Send email with the info of (1) nominee to rcs@usa.com and put Grassroots Showcase in the subject line.

Here is the SCHEDULE for the Grassroots Showcase, which is a 1-day event held at ULH Event Center, in North Houston.

It is very important that you DOWNLOAD one of these apps... Rcs Sports or Nelson Brand . Click on your "Team" and press "Follow" because if there is a change in the schedule, it would go directly to your mobile device.

- Doors will open @ 9:15 for teams, and 9:30 for spectators.

- Be sure all rosters include jersey numbers, heights, school and class
- This event is 100% bracket play with each team receiving 2 games

- Each team is allowed 2 coaches. Be sure both are listed on the roster form by the end of today

- All scoresheets will be pre-printed with first and last name of each player

- Rules can be found on the app (under Documents)

- Unruly spectators will not be tolerated. This event is held on a Sunday, and is the last tourney of the summer. These kids need as much positive energy as possible displayed in front of them. Let's end the summer on a great note!

SCHEDULE will be released today (before 3pm) on the Rcs Sports or Nelson Brand APP. It is very important for coaches to instruct your basketball family to download one of those apps, then "follow" your team. This will enable timely updates to go directly to the mobile devices.

Each team will play 2 games. We are attempting to sort teams into "mini brackets" which adds more excitement to the schedule. Be advised, no team will play before 10am or after 4pm.
