Terms And Conditions

By registering and participating in the Etobicoke Thunder Basketball Tournament, all players, coaches, parents, and spectators agree to abide by tournament rules, facility rules, and the directions of tournament staff and officials. The Etobicoke Basketball Association (EBA) has facility insurance in place; however, participation is at the individual's own risk. The EBA, its directors, volunteers, staff, and partner facilities are not liable for any injury, accident, loss, or damage to persons or property that may occur during the event. Each team is responsible for the conduct of its players, coaches, and spectators. Any misconduct, including abusive behaviour towards officials, staff, or other participants, may result in removal from the event without refund. By entering the tournament, all participants acknowledge and accept these terms.

The Etobicoke Basketball Association (EBA) collects only the information necessary to operate the tournament, including player rosters, coach contact information, and emergency contacts. This information is used strictly for tournament scheduling, safety, and communication purposes. We do not sell, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties except as required by law or to ensure the safety and well-being of participants. Email addresses provided with team registrations may be used to communicate updates about schedules, weather conditions, and future EBA events. By submitting registration information, you consent to the collection and limited use of your personal information for these purposes, in compliance with Ontario’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Refund Policy

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the tournament director at jaypea69@gmail.com. * A full refund will be issued if Etobicoke Thunder Basketball cancels the tournament. * A full refund will also be issued if the tournament is unable to proceed due to weather or facility closures (example: the snow cancellation of Ballin’ for Breast Cancer in February 2025). * Teams withdrawing more than 7 days before the start of the tournament are eligible for a full refund (less a $25 processing fee). * No refunds will be issued for withdrawals made within 7 days of the tournament start date. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
