Overall a really good first day. Couple of over excited parents and a few pushes on the court but overall everyone was great. Brackets are set and lcoked. First games tomorrow are 9;24 at Rutherford and Lynn haven Rec. Please give us til 9:00 to set tne gyms.

Brackets are locked and good to go. Quick note for girls middle school. Lady Matrix 8th will go straight to championship vs the winner of the girls 6th/7th bracket. So, whoever wins girls middle school bracket don't leave! You got one more game and a shot at 2 rings vs our 8th grade solo team Lady Matrix.

At the bay haven charter academy gym, the only gate open right now is the side gate. Please use that until we get the main gate open. It's just down the road

2026 Tournament Rules

 (2) 16-minute halves grades 6 th -Varsity. 5 th & under is 14 -minute
halves. Running clock until last 2 minutes of the 2 nd half. Clock stops on
timeouts.
 4 timeouts per game. 45 seconds in length
 1-1 free throws on the 7 th foul during a half. Standard free throw
shooting. Clock stops on shooting foul when shooter receives the ball.
 Overtime is 2 minutes.
 Timeouts from regulation do not carry over into overtime. Fouls carry
over. One timeout in overtime.
 No press up 20 points
 Running clock with a 25-point lead. Game is over at 2 minutes in the
2 nd half with a 20-point lead.
 Players may move on the release at the free throw line
 Players must be on the NSID roster to play Sunday if missing Saturday.
 Only 2 coaches allowed on each team’s bench. Only 1 coach may stand
and coach. No parents or other players should be near the bench
while the game is in progress. Scorekeepers may not sit at the scorers
table. The bench is for only players participating in the game. No other
grade level players may sit on the bench. Parents or Coaches should
not approach the score table or come onto the court unless there is an
injury.
 Home team provides game ball. Home team is listed on schedule on
exposure. Please clean benches of trash and belongings after games.

If you have not already done so, click the link below, find the 5th Annual Elite Sports Showdown and click on that tournament, then join the tournament with your team.

Heres some general info...

1st games Saturday (8:30) and Sunday (9:20). We will NOT unlockk the doors until 20 minutes before. Please give us time to sweep the floors, set up and get ready to go.

Gate: $30.00 day pass/$40.00 weekend pass (kids 12U free)

Code of Conduct: Please respect the game, the fans, the coaches, and the players. We will immediatlely remove any fans, parents, or coaches that dont promote postiive basketball and sportsmanship. Any fan or player or coach that is removed is subject to a premanent tresspass ban from that venue. We haven't had any issues this year but please, respect the game and its participants or you will be asked to leave and charges will be filed.

Court etiqutte: Absolutely no parents, fans, or videographers on the bench or players side. Maximum 2 coaches per bench. This will be strictly enforced, Only SES staff at the table. We provide 2 people at the table so you don't have to staff.

Concessions: All venues will have concessions going.

Gulf Coast Jam: For those that dont know, there is a huge music festival on the beach. If you are staying on the beach or coming East, avoid back beach and highway 98 at all costs. Please allow extra travel time if it affects you.

Brackets: Posted for Sunday. There will not be changes to this.

Age verify: All teams must have NSID and their rosters loaded by tonight at midnight. Anyone not on an NSID roster is subject to removal from tournament.

Cheating: I'm going to call it what it is. If your going to cheat and have guys play down, we will catch it. If you want to challenge, the coach must contact SES staff (no parents or players) and specify the player by number you want to challenge. We don't accept challenges after a game, it must be done before a game tips. Our teams over the years have been good about this, we have banned a few orgs over the years for it but hey, let's just play ball the right way in the right age group.

After game: Please pick up your benches. Most of you are awesome at this! Also please try to exit the bench quickly and do team meetings in the lobbies or hallways. Give the next group a chance to get ready to ball.

Game balls: Home team provides game ball. All teams must supply their own warm up balls.

Rules: Posting in a sec. Please share these with your parents. Some don't understand travel basketball clocks (it's not stop clock every dead ball) and I feel bad for parents who yell, get pulled out, and then say oh I didn't know that was the rule. Standard basketball stuff, we do call the game if someone is up 20 or more at the 2:00 minute mark of the 2nd half.

Schedule accomodations made to best of our availability. Thanks for your patience. We had two teams drop so had to redo those divisions. These are locked as are sunday brackets which we are getting ready to publish too. General info on tourney coming next message.
