Wisconsin Hardwood Hustle - Boys
HH EMAIL #1
We are excited to host you and your teams for the upcoming 2018 Hardwood Hustle tournament! We have some important updates to share with you. Please read and follow through in a timely manner.
We have tweaked the rules to better fit the division breakups, and allow the games to run more smoothly. Please read the attached rules carefully.
We will be pre-printing score sheets to keep the time between games running smoothly and the tournament running on time. It is imperative that you go back into your team page, update your roster name and numbers. We are requiring the name and number fields, and the email field is optional. Please update your team information in the exposure basketball software by Tuesday, May 29th.
We are asking for participant emails as a means to communicate to your team members solely for this tournament purpose alone and any upcoming deadlines. They will not be used for any other means.
PRE-ORDER T-SHIRTS AND SWEATSHIRTS
Please email your teams that tournament t-shirts and sweatshirts can be pre-ordered!!! We will not be printing them on site. All your team orders will be sorted and pre-packaged for you to easily hand out to your athletes. T-shirts and sweatshirts must be pre-ordered by Tuesday, May 29th, 11:59pm. Please use this link to pre-order. https://hardwoodhustle2018.itemorder.com/sale
There will be special vendors offering other fun gear and accessories for you and your team.
We will be releasing a tentative schedule this week/weekend. Please DO NOT share with your team. This first round is to make sure there are no major conflicts. If there are, we may have to adjust some game times. We will plan on releasing a final schedule by mid week next week. We will not adjust times for convenience sake. We have over 80 teams participating in the tournament and tried our best to steer away from a three day weekend. As the tournament grows, we will continue to improve on gym availability, to make this the best experience for you and your crew.
We will have site directors at both the Appleton North and Einstein Middle School gymnasiums. The contact information for those directors will be released by next week.
The room blocks that we provided at the hotels have filled up. Unfortunately, the hotels were not able to block more rooms for us at a discounted rate this close to the tournament. You can still try to call the hotels listed on the initial hotel page to see if they will allow it or have rooms available. In the past we were told they were full but may have had cancellations.
Here is a list of additional hotels that we were told still have openings.
Days Inn Neenah - (920) 720-9020
Hilton Garden Inn Kimberly - (920) 730-1900
La Quinta Inn & Suites - (920) 734-7777
Residence Inn Appleton - (920) 954-0570
Super 8 Appleton - (920) 731-0880
Last year we provided medals to the first and second place teams. This year we will be handing out trophies to each player on the first place team and medals for each member on the second place team!
This will be a no joke awesome concession stand that will provide healthy options for you, your athletes, and families. The health of the athlete is always our top priority.
Please follow us on Social Media. We would like to announce your entry and game results throughout the tournament. We will be inviting collegiate coaches to this tournament and sharing all the good news about your teams. You can follow us on the three social stream sites:
If you have any questions regarding the tournament, please do not hesitate to contact us at Enspire365, 920-750-5180 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Good luck until then!
We look forward to serving you and making this the best experience for you and your teams!

We have the schedule for the tournament posted on the Exposure Basketball Event page.
We set up our younger 10/11u boys teams on a Friday/Saturday schedule to make everything work. Our older 16/17u boys teams play on Friday and Saturday, but the top four teams will go on to compete for their championship games on Sunday. The rest of the boys teams are on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
All the girls teams have a Saturday/Sunday schedule with the final championship/competitive games on Sunday afternoon.
Please review. Do not share with your teams until we have another day to sit on it.
We will let you know by Wednesday if it is safe to publish to your teams.
Here are the links to your schedules.

Due to the holiday weekend and requests we have extended the Pre-Order to Wednesday, the 30th at midnight. Please share with your team to take the time and pre-order shirts and sweatshirts online. You can browse the HH logo specialty shop athttps://hardwoodhustle2018.itemorder.com/
We are receiving feedback from coaches and requests for changes.
We have some team conflicts that arose and need to reshuffle a little. We will get the schedule out as soon as possible.

Just a quick update since our schedule went out Monday evening. We had emails come to us all the way up until last evening (Wed) at 7pm. Because of the number of emails, we had to sit down and wait until they were done coming in, and prioritize any issues in the schedule. They all affected someone else in some way.
We have now sat down and started diligently working through each one, to make the best decisions and make things run smoothly.
We will get you the final schedule as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
Love and Basketball, Lisa

I had to tweak some things to make the schedule even better, especially for the 16/17s boys division. Please double check your schedule to make sure of any time or location changes to your schedule and share those with your teams.

We are extremely excited to host you this weekend! Please review the final udpates to help make this tournament run smoothly for you and your teams.
1) SCHEDULES - Please take one final look at your schedule to make sure any changes in game time, venue, or opponent, line up with what you have shared with your teams.
Encourage families to download and use the Exposure Basketball app to keep up to date with the team's tournament results. Everyone can follow their team for live updates.
You are responsible for getting your teams to games based on this final schedule (released on 6-7-18).
Drive safe. We look forward to Turning up the Heat with you!

Enspire365 and Wisconsin Blaze would like to send a huge THANK YOU on behalf of the Hardwood Hustle staff and volunteers!!!
We were thankfully overwhelmed with such positive feedback, but even more grateful with how you conducted yourself as professional coaches.
With all the craziness of running a tournament, I had fewer opportunities than I wanted, to walk around and take in all your games, but the number of games I did see, I was truly impressed with the competitive fire and professionalism you and your kids brought to the court.
We truly appreciated your presence, competitiveness, and sportsmanship.
The way you TAUGHT your kids during time outs, the way you spoke to them, encouraged them, and praised them for all their hard work and energy is to be applauded. Thank you for being a light to your kids and families. Thank you for being such great competitors and making this a successful tournament.
This was our second year for the girls, and first year for the boys, and am thankful for everyone who has already said they loved it so much they will be back again next year for our third annual!
That comment in itself, makes all the hard work to set it up and run it so worth it!!!
There are always things that don't go exactly perfect - as life is. Roster reports, game schedules, venue transitions, that coaches call!, etc. But as one of our wonderful parents taught us, when life hits, we just "tuck and roll."
We had a court fall behind schedule because of double overtime, triple overtime, lots of time outs games - on the same court! We apologize for the incovenience this caused some teams. But we thank all the coaches and families who shared their patience with us in light of this set back.
We consistently tracked feedback you provided throughout the tournament and will review and continue to adjust our approach to keep things running smooth and positive next year. So thank you for communicating those suggestions to us.
We hope all the coaches were surprised with the sugar cookies we provided for you. If you didn't get one handed to you, I apologize. Something else to tweak next year. :) You can see the attached picture of it if you missed the treat.
We hope you all made it home safely, and continue to #BeTheFlame in everything that you do.
Have a great rest of your season!
Always in Christ...and with a Competitive Fire,
Coach Lisa Van Wyk and Enspire365/WI Blaze Staff
