Great Smokies Shootout (presented by the Hickory Metro Sports Commission) Documents

Changes have been made to the Sunday, May 28 schedule. Please check your team's schedule for any adustments that may have been made. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to make this event a positive eperience for all teams involved.

Final versions of the schedule are posted at this time (5:30PM -5/26). All teams are encouraged to check their schedules for any changes that may have been made. Thank you for your cooperation as we worked to make this event an exciting one for our participants.

Coaches, please make sure that you have copies of player's birth certificates and report cards. Documents will be spot checked and any cases of illegal participation will result in forfeiture of those games. Thank you and good luck to all teams this weekend.

All games will be played according to BOC Rules (link below) with the following exceptions:

-Teams receive (4) 30 Sec Timeouts- 1 additional per Overtime
-1 Minute Overtime/then Sudden Death in 2nd Overtime
-Pregame warmup time-5 minutes maximum (may be less)
-Halftimes will be 3 minutes maximum (may be less)
-Home team is responsible for official scorebook
-Home team is listed first on Schedule or top on Bracket
-Clock runs at all times (except on Timeouts) when margin reaches 25 points and returns to normal timing if margin is reduced to 15 points

Initial versions of the Saturday (May 27) schedule are posted at this time. All teams are encouraged to check their schedules several times throughout the day on Friday, May 26 for any last minute changes that may be made. Brackets for Sunday (May 28) play will be released later this evening. All teams will play a minimum of 2 games on Sunday. There will be no Friday night play in this event.
