Girls WIAA/WBCA Summer Slam--Scholastic Event

Description

Hosted by the WIAA and the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association the Summer Slam will be played at the Community First Champion Center! The largest sports facility in the state with 8 beautiful hardwood courts all under one roof.

General Information

NCAA/NFHS APPROVED FOR 2023! This event is open to NCAA Division 1, 2, and 3 coaches as well as NAIA and NJCAA coaches.

This event is a FOUR GAME guarantee and is part of the NCAA live periods for scholastic teams in June. The event is open to high school boys teams (school based teams that are coached by actual high school coaches). Coaches must be employed (paid or unpaid) by a member school of the WIAA. The event is open to high school teams from Wisconsin.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COACHES AND ROSTERS**

Teams MUST be coached by the Varsity Head Coach or an assistant coach currently on the high school staff

High School coaches MUST use 2 of their 5 Summer contact Days to coach in this tournament

ONLY WIAA eligible players are allowed to compete (rising 9th – 12th graders)

Coaches MUST certify that no member of their team or staff has been found guilty or pleaded guilty in a court of law to a felony or for having been involved in sports bribery, point shaving or game fixing.

A full team roster MUST be submitted to the WIAA by June 1.  This information will be used to create college coaches packets.
