Middle School City Championship 2024 Aldine 7A (ISD)

It's that time of year, again! The Middle School City Championship takes place Feb. 15-16th @ MacArthur HS

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL CITY CHAMPIONSHIP!
1. The premiere platform which takes the (either or both) top 2 finishers from each school district / zone.
2. The teams will compete in a tournament to determine the City Champion.
3. This event is a true measuring stick which is used to determine who really has the BEST middle school team(s) in all of Greater Houston!
4. There is A & B Division for 8th and 7th grade teams!
5. All players must attend the same school (or) listed on the basketball roster for this season.
6. This is a NON-Scholastic event, which means most teams' scholastic coaches are NOT permitted on the bench. Normally, a parent or former player serves as the event coach.
7. Since it is a NON-Scholastic event, parents do NOT need permission of their school administration to participate, just as they don't need approval to play in other grassroots / AAU events.

ROSTERS are locked. Meaning, you can NOT add any player who was not listed on your roster yesterday.

Any team found to play an ineligible players will be disqualified, and your athletic director will be contacted about this matter.

RULE MODIFICATION: FREE THROWS - only 1 attempt = 2pts if made (3pts if fouled while shooting a three). Under 1:00 to go, all FT attempts will be 2 for 2 (or 3 for 3).

All 7A Champions will receive invitations to the Justise Winslow Camp which is annually held in the month of June. This camp is designed for rising 8th graders.
