I hope this letter finds you well. As we gear up for the highly anticipated tournament during Memorial Day Weekend, I wanted to share an exciting opportunity that I believe will greatly benefit your team both on and off the court.


The Coachable Player is hosting a Media Literacy Workshop designed specifically for young athletes. This workshop aims to bridge the gap between athletics and essential life skills, providing your players with the tools they need to excel not only in sports but also in their personal and academic lives.


Key Benefits of the Workshop:


1. Enhanced Communication Skills: Athletes will learn how to effectively communicate with the media, coaches, teammates, and even future employers.


2. Leadership Development: The workshop will instill leadership qualities, teaching players how to represent themselves and their team with integrity and confidence.


3. Media Training: Participants will engage in mock press conferences and interviews, helping them become comfortable and articulate in public speaking situations.

Workshop Details:


- Dates: Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26

- Location: Bishop McNamara

- Schedule: The workshop will be conveniently scheduled during the downtime between games to ensure it does not interfere with the athletes' playing schedules.

- Rehydration Station: Fresh fruit, healthy snacks and drinks will be provided to keep the players energized and focused throughout the session and prepared for the next game.


We firmly believe that this workshop will be a valuable addition to your team's development program. By participating, your athletes will gain a competitive edge that extends beyond the basketball court, preparing them for future challenges in all aspects of life.


I encourage you to register your team for this unique opportunity during the Memorial Day Weekend tournament. The tournament director has offset the price so the price below is a 65% discount. In addition we will offer an additional 10% off if your entire team of 10 or more players attend.

Hello Coaches! Memorial Day Takeover is underway and we couldn’t be more excited and thank you for joining us this weekend! Please review the schedule. We did our best to accommodate all requests. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.


Additionally, we are attaching the rules. Please review them before your first game.


We ask that all players, coaches, and spectators excercise good sportsmanship. Please allow refs to refs, players to play, and coaches to coach. Foul language or acts of violence will not be tolerated. Any one involved in the acts mentioned will be asked to leave the facilities for the entirety of the event.
