4th Annual Hoops De Mayo SOLD OUT

We appreciate all of you coming to Panama City for the tournament this weekend. Saw some great hoops and hopeyall enjoyed it. Couple of quick notes:
1.) We found a phone. If you or your baller lost a phone please give us a shout, DM, or text and let us know.

2.) Our next tournament in Panama City is in two weekends. You can register on Exposure events or at www.panhandlebasketball.net "Battle at the Beach" sold out last year and we already have over 35 teams registered. We will cap at 80 for this one. Hope you can join us.

3.) We are also hosting on May 30th for "SES Showdown". Please feel free to reach out with any questions for this or Battle at the Beach

Apologies for those that played at BPA. The District did try to get the air going but it never happened. Thanks for being champs about it.

GC Warriors MS just dropped. Small changes for 6th grade. Please double check your times if in 6th. Very minor changes but you might have moved up an hour or switched opponents. Thanks all, ball out and have fun this weekend!

We are excited to host everyone for the 4th Annual Hoops De Mayo. Let's get into it!
1.) Sportsmanship and Fan Expectation: ENJOY THE GAMES! Any fan that is into fighting, yellling at refs all game, or speaking abusively of players will not be tolerated. Fighting, bad language, intoxication is not allowed and violaters of these issues will be immediately removed with no refunds. We have cameras in all gyms and don't expect problems. We have hosted for four years and proud to say very minimal incidents over those four years. Let's keep it that way and celebrate the players.
2.) Gate: $20.00 for day pass. 35.00 for weekend pass. Kids 12 and under free.
3.) First games: We have a very tight schedule. For first games of the day the front doors will not be open until 15 minutes before first game. So, if a game is at 8:15, doors will open no later than 8:00 but please give us time to set up and sweep the floors.
4.) Entry: DO NOT USE ANY OTHER DOORS OTHER THAN POINT OF ENTRY. Fire exits are not a door to go grab a smoke and come back in. Violaters of this will be removed from the facility for the day. This is a Bay District School rule. Please do not use side doors for personal access.
5.) Sunday brackets: We don't do schedule requests for Sundays because it's predicated on pool play as most of you know. Those that played night games on Saturday will have a later start time on bracket play on Sunday.
6.) Concessions: Bay High and Jinks will both offer full concessions. We are working on BPA but think we will be fine there too. If eating at our venues, please help us out on trash and throw away your trash. Most of you are awesome at this but we don't want to pick up crushed up cheezits and fruit snacks some of yall sneak in. Please respect our venues, we keep them clean and ask you help us do the same.
7.) Age verification and challenge: All teams must have NSID and have proof of age verification if challenged. You can only challenge before a game, not after. Only the coach of the team can challenge and must challenge with a Panhandle representative. I'm really proud that this really isn't an issue at our tournaments. However, if you plan on cheating, don't come. Any team knowingly playing an older player and loses a challenge will forfeit the games that player was involved in. In addition, Panhandle Baskertball will potentially ban or suspend you from upcoming tournaments.
8.) Player eligibility: A player is allowed to play in two different divisions (Example: A player can play in 8th and 9th grade divisions if the player is in 8th grade. This is a grade based tournament, not age. Players must play in their designated grade but are allowed to "play up". Players are NOT allowed to play on two teams in the same age division. A player MUST be in the book and on the bench Saturday to play Sunday. No adds are allowed to roster on Sunday, they must play on Sunday. Any player knowingly cheating in age or roster Sunday will cause an immediate forfeit for their team on Sunday and tournament will be over.
9.) Each team will provide their own warm up basketballs. The home team listed will provide the game ball unless they want to defer that choice to away team. Home team wears white, away team wears dark.
10.) Panhandle provides both book and clock. You are not allowed to have a scorer at the scorer's table.
11.) Absolutely no fans, players, or videographers behind the benches. You must tape from opposite side if recording. Only current game players and coaches allowed on bench side. No fans, no parents, no media.
12.) You are allowed two coaches on the bench. One must be seated if one is standing. You are allowed three coaches to check in per team and must be listed as a coach on the team roster on Exposure. If you lose a coach's armband, we will not replace and must buy a new one.

TOURNAMENT RULES will be posted tomorrow in a separate thread for game play.

Chris with Panhandle. We have removed non paid teams and ready to start working on schedule. Please remember this is a request not a guarantee for Saturday only. We can't control how you do on Saturday to do requests Sunday for pool play :)

Couple of things:
1.) This tournament is sold out. We will be playing as late as 8:00 PM Saturday for last game tips.
2.) When sending schedule requests, they must be emailed to: chris@legistixsolutions.com Please do not text me as we need all requests in one place.
3.) Please make sure you list your team names and requests for each team. Not by the org if bringing multiple teams.
4.) Schedule requests must be in by 7:00 PM CST Tuesday April 29th.

We usually have our schedules out Wednesday night late or Thursday AM early. Please know the schedule might change for a few teams. Once we post schedule we will announce it's live and then send a second message on Thursday night that's it "Final".

We are completely sold out, so I don't anticipate adding any teams unless someone drops in the next few hours.
