26th Annual Scarborough Holiday Hoops Tourney
Messages
Please read and forward to your team's parents
Hello Coaches, Parents and Families,
We look forward to hosting you at our 26th Annual Holiday Hoops Tournament beginning on December 27th. As you know, this is a fundraiser for our Scarborough basketball program and we thank you and your families for your support. Like last year, gate admission tickets for spectators can be purchased in advance of the tournament at the following link. In fact, it is recommended that you purchase tickets in advance to save time at entry. (Coaches and players do not need admission tickets)
Online gate tickets
Please either add the tickets to your wallet on your phone or take a picture of the bar-code that we will scan upon your entrance to the school. You can purchase single day or multiple day entry passes for the girls or boys tournament. We also offer entire tournament passes that include admission to all four days of the tournament.
Some other important notes:
For teams scheduled for the first games of the day please do not arrive more than 20 minutes before the start of the game. For all other games, please arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of your game. Games may start up to 10 minutes before scheduled start times.
There will be zero tolerance for coaches, players, parents or other spectators arguing with or berating referees or our volunteers.
Coaches are responsible for their players and their parents. Parents should not approach volunteers or tournament staff to complain about a referee. If a parent or other spectator has an issue they need to speak to their coach and the coach can bring the observation to the attention of the tournament director.
The away team (dark uniform) is the first team listed (designated by an “A”) on the schedule and the home team (white / light uniform) is the second team listed (designated by an “H” on the schedule).

All teams will play at least 2 days, as well. All girls games are the 27th and 28th. The only boys division playing on 12/28 is the 5th grade boys division, and their second day of games will be on 12/30. All other boys divisions play on the 29th and 30th. Also, in the documents portion of the website and app you can find the tourney rules we will play by, which are largely similar to the Southern Maine Hoops League rules.

Description
The Scarborough Basketball Boosters are pleased to announce our Annual Holiday Hoops Basketball Tournament will be held again this year for the 26th year. We will continue to offer divisions for both boys and girls and utilize the gyms at Scarborough High School in Scarborough, Maine. 5th and 6th grade boys and girls community travel teams and 7th and 8th grade boys and girls middle school teams are all welcome. Please, no AAU or regional all-star teams. An important clarification is that all players on 7th and 8th grade teams must be from the same middle school regardless of the town they or their parents live in. Please contact me if you have any questions. If you have a team that is made up of players from multiple grades, please register for the division that corresponds to that of your highest-grade player, (i.e. team with combined 7th and 8th grade players must play in the 8th grade division).

We will be sending out confirmation e-mails after we have reviewed registrations and determined the maximum number of teams for the requested division has not been exceeded.
Each division will play over a 2 - 3 day period. The actual schedule will be available ~10 days prior to the tournament using the Exposure Events Basketball App 26th Annual Scarborough Holiday Hoops Tourney (2024) assuming the registration deadline has been observed.
We expect to be able to allow a maximum of 12 team registrations per division. The number of teams allowed per division is subject to change based on the number of registrations we receive.
Games will be held from 8:00am to 9:00pm with regulation times for each division. We will have 2 certified board officials for each game for all age groups.
