Good evening,

Just a few reminders for tomorrow's big tournament!

1. Please encourage your families to consider bringing their own chairs if they want to be guaranteed a seat at Southwestern University. There is plenty of standing room, but limited chair and bleacher seating, especially on Courts 4 & 5. Also, nobody is allowed upstairs.

2. Remember there is a sportsmanship rule. There is no defense in the back court if you are up 20. You get one warning then a tech, so make sure your players know before you hit 20.

3. Bonus is at 5 fouls in each 10 minutes. Volunteers at the clock and book will be reminded by the refs.

4. On that note, please make sure you have a parent or coach to run either the clock or the book at each game. Having them ready early will help games to start efficiently.

Thanks for coming out to play. You can find updated schedule, scores, and standings on the TXBA app.

Thanks,
Tamie Felty

Good evening,

Thanks for coming out to play the HOT Hoops Throwdown this coming Sunday, Jan 26 only, in Round Rock and Georgetown. If you haven't already downloaded the TXBA app, it is the most efficient way to get all schedule updates and event messages.

You can find the schedule on the TXBA app and here:
https://basketball.exposureevents.com/233291/hot-hoops-throwdown/schedule

If your team is playing at Southwestern University, please have your families consider bringing your own lawn chair in case the limited bleacher seating is full. Courts 4 & 5 especially have limited seating, but plenty of room to stand or set up your own chair. The kids love getting to play on a college campus, so we are excited to provide them with this opportunity and would like everyone to enjoy the experience. Please be respectful of this facility and aware that the upstairs is off limits to our event.

Please make sure your parents know there is a fee for spectators:
$15/day/adults and $5/day/K-12 students (cash and Venmo accepted, no cards)

Please communicate with parents that gyms will not open earlier than 7:30am. All standings are decided by win/loss record, head to head, and point differential of opponents in a tie. Site Directors will hand out medals for 1st and 2nd after all games in the division are finished and the standings have updated online.

Please keep in mind players cannot play down in grade level. Also, players must be approved in advance to play on multiple teams in the event. Also take note of the sportsmanship rules and serious consequences for any type of violence. Rules are posted under messages for the event. Please make every effort to keep this a fair and positive environment for the kids to enjoy the sport they love.

Thanks,
Tamie Felty
