Middle School City Championship 2025 Schedule

ALL Sunday games scheduled for Hambrick MS has been MOVED back to MacArthur HS Auxilary court.

This will save some teams / families from having to get in and out of their cars in this chilly weather. We don't want any kids going back to school sick.

Reminder: Medical Trainer is located on the Main campus gym (must bring own tape).

Armbands must be ON, Otherwise, you may have to pay to enter.

If there is any team on the schedule who will NOT be returning today, please be so kind as to notify us in a timely manner. This could prevent an opponent from wasting their time, or even allow us to find a compatible replacement team.

The top 2 seeds from each pool advances into Sunday bracket play. This enables teams an opportunity to bounce back from an unexpected pool loss, and still have a chance to go into the championship rounds.

Rosters will be closed at the end of today. Meaning, no team may add any players to their roster once bracket play starts.

Please make sure all players wear the same jersey # for every game.

We have decided to keep Sunday scheduled games at Hambrick MS (instead of Mac Auxilary gym). Lastly, be advised, if 2 teams from the same district are scheduled to play each other in the first round of bracket play, we "may" swap their opponents. However, it is up to the participating teams to keep us informed of such situations.

We have uniformed POLICE officers at each site. This helps to ensure a safe atmosphere.

The MEDICAL TRAINER is located on the main court at MacArthur HS. Bring your own tape in the event a player needs to be wrapped before games.

The rest of SATURDAY's scheduled games on MacArthur HS Auxilary Court have been MOVED next door.

The Rcs Sports APP has been UPDATED to reflect these changes for today. We will continue to keep everyone posted on whether Sunday games on that particular court will be designated for MacArthur HS Auxilary court or Hambrick MS.

How important is it for you to have the proper jersey numbers on the roster BEFORE the event starts?

- Very important, because it saves all of us a bunch of time.

- It speeds up the team check in process

- The scoresheets will be pre-printed with the jersey numbers on them. That saves coaches from having to write that data (especially the ones with bad handwriting) on our scoresheets

- A completed scoresheet helps the next game to start on time. There is nothing worse than a game starting much later than scheduled.

We received a team payment from Jose Olivar, but do not know which team this should be applied to. If can help solve this matter, please REPLY to this message.

Be advised. We had (2) teams drop out of the tournament (Beaumont Odom 8A and Fort Bend Thornton 8A). As a result, we will publish a revised schedule Thursday 3:30pm. This means some game times / opponent may change for everyone playing after 10:40. Don't panic, Rcs Sports does a great job at scheduling events.

Unless we are able to replace those 2 teams, here is how things may look...

FORMAT

8A - 12 teams with 4 pools and 3 teams in each. Everyone will play 2 pool games Saturday. The top 2 seeds will advance into the Sunday championship bracket. The last seed from each pool will play a "challenge" game on Sunday.

7A - 14 teams with 3 or 4 teams in each pool. Each team will play 2 pool games. The top 2 seeds will advance into the Sunday championship bracket. The remaining teams will return Sunday and compete in "challenge" games.

8B and 7B - will play a round robin format. Each team will play once on Saturday and return Sunday to play twice.

We will also be printing the rosters onto the scoresheets on tomorrow. Therefore, all roster updates should be made before Thursday 2:00pm.

Here is the SCHEDULE for the Middle School City Championship, which takes place this weekend (Feb. 15-16) @ MacArthur HS. The RULES are enclosed.

You are stongly encouraged to DOWNLOAD the Rcs Sports APP (the schedule and team ROSTERS can be found there).

Upon locating your team, CLICK FOLLOW. The official schedule will always be what is listed on the Rcs Sports APP.

It is perfectly fine to copy / paste links to the schedule. But, do NOT circulate screen shots of the schedule (because it could change at any given moment). If it does change, a text message will automatically be sent to your mobile device.

We are seeking (1) 8B and (1) 7B team!

We are currently formatting the SCHEDULE for the Middle School City Championship (Feb 15-16). Expect it to be published Monday morning on www.RcsSports.com and the Rcs Sports app.

1. Due to the fact that some key players may also be participating with their grassroots team (in the Nightrydas Tourney), you may request to play first game in morning or afternoon. We will accomodate on a first come basis as long as space permits. We encourage you to duplicate this request with the other tourney director, as well. Communication is essential in order to make things go smoothly!

2. If you haven't done so, we need rosters submitted. Names / Heights / Grades are the most important things we need. You may input the jersey numbers later. A roster link has been emailed to the primary contact for each team. If you don't see the link, simply email: rcs@usa.com and type your Team Name in the subject line.

3. PAYMENTS: $250 per team. You have 3 convenient options

a) CashApp: $RcsSports

b) PayPal: rcs@usa.com

c) Bring cash, upon arrival

d) a $500 donation will be given to both A division champions.

4. Encourage each member of your basketball family to DOWNLOAD the Rcs Sports APP. Then click on your team(s) and press "Follow". This will enable all updates and game results to arrive directly onto your mobile devices. The official schedule will always be located on the APP. Do NOT transfer or share schedule screenshots from this event, because the times / opponents could change. That is the main reason it is very important for everyone to download the Rcs Sports APP.
