Spring Showdown Teams

Hi Coaches and Team Managers,

On behalf of everyone at Etobicoke Basketball, I want to thank you for participating in our Spring Showdown 2025 tournament this past weekend. We were thrilled to host your teams at Michael Power CI and hope you enjoyed the high-energy competition and community spirit as much as we did.

This year’s event welcomed an incredible lineup of teams and games, and your sportsmanship and commitment helped make it one of our smoothest events to date.

🏀 Final Scores & Game Review
The Etobicoke Basketball app remains your hub for all final scores, downloadable score sheets, and game video links (powered by BallerTV). These VOD links can be a great coaching resource as you prepare for Provincials and beyond.

🏅 Medal Results
We congratulate the Scarborough Lady Blues for winning Gold (Ferguson) and Silver (Walker) medals this weekend and the GCBA Wolverines for winning bronze. Your performances capped off the weekend in true championship fashion. Medal presentations took place immediately following each final game.

I have attached the complete final results PDF for your reference. These results have also been submitted to the OBA, and our host team will update the game outcomes in the OBA Sanctioned Games Portal shortly.

📣 Acknowledgments
A massive thank-you to the volunteers, scorekeepers, gym staff, and our parents and families who helped run the door with concessions and keep things moving behind the scenes. Your time and energy made everything possible.

Whether your team left with medals or memorable moments, we hope you had a positive experience on and off the court.

🏀 Stay Connected
We’ll return this summer with our NSU Summer Heat tournament, running July 4–6, 2025, at Six Park East’s multi-court complex. The event features a four-game guarantee and full BallerTV coverage for parents and fans unable to attend in person but wanting to catch all the action.

Last year, we welcomed teams from Montreal, Winnipeg, and even Vancouver, and this summer we’ll be hosting divisions for U10–U16 and senior varsity for both boys and girls. If your team is interested in attending, email us at NSUCoaches@gmail.com and we’ll send a registration form.

Now, here are a few more key details to help you and your teams prepare:

📍 Venue Details
All games will be held at Michael Power CI (105 Eringate Dr., Etobicoke, ON). If this is your first time at this gym, please arrive early to ensure you find your way in, change players, and are ready for warm-ups at your scheduled time.

🗓️ Schedule & App Access
The tournament schedule is now live and accessible through the Etobicoke Basketball app. You can also view the full schedule directly in your browser at: 👉 https://basketball.exposureevents.com/233540/spring-showdown/schedule

Please ensure your contact email is linked to your team’s entry to receive real-time updates.

🎽 Uniform Guidelines
Teams listed as the home team will wear light colours and appear at the top of the match-up in the schedule. In case of a conflict, the away team must change.

All teams must bring home and away uniforms to every game. If your team only has one uniform colour, please let us know ASAP so we can adjust the schedule accordingly.

📝 Team Entry Review & Scoresheets
Pre-printed score sheets will be available at the scorer’s table and only require your signature post-game. Please take a moment to check the app now to confirm:

*Your team name and team logo
*Your player names and jersey numbers
*If anything needs to be updated, please notify us by EOD tomorrow, Monday, March 7th, so that we can correct it before printing.

🏀 Game Day Reminders

*Teams must provide their warm-up basketballs
*Bring your basic first-aid supplies
*Score sheets will be provided at the scorer’s table
*Please keep gyms clean and be respectful of school property

🎥 BallerTV Coverage
We’re pleased to share that BallerTV will cover Spring Showdown 2025, offering live streaming of all games throughout the weekend. This service is an excellent way for family and friends who can’t attend in person to follow the action in real time.

But it’s more than just a viewing tool—game footage will remain available as video-on-demand (VOD), making it an excellent resource for post-event coaching and team review. The direct links to game broadcasts are within the schedule section of the Etobicoke Basketball app.

🎟️ Entry Fee
There will be a spectator fee of $10/day or $15 for a weekend pass (kids under 12 are free). Coaches and players are exempt. Please communicate that with your team's parents. Exact change is appreciated; e-transfer is also accepted at jaypea69@gmail.com. We will also post signage with this information at the event.

We’ll contact you next week with any last-minute notes. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.
