Magic Not on Easter Sat Only Bash Documents
Messages
Good morning!
Yesterday we had 19 basketball courts running with 146 teams playing, over 300 coaches, 1500 kids, more parents than my math skills can estimate, and the most important number, ZERO incidents of unsafe behavior! That's quite a successful event.Thank you to everyone for keeping this event focused on creating a safe and positive environment for all the kids to play the sport they love.
TXBA is excited about hosting the first ever Battle in Lake Travis on May 3 or 4. It's a one day play, 3 game guarantee hosted in the pristine Lake Travis ISD schools. Space is limited, so register now before the event fills up. https://basketball.exposureevents.com/240163/e/registration
Magic is back in action at the Round Rock Sports Center, the ASC North and GISD for the 24th Annual Not on Mother's Day event on May 10, which is always a big one! https://basketball.exposureevents.com/233782/e/registration
Thanks again for coming out to play yesterday and we hope to see you soon!
Thanks,
Tamie Felty
The event has kicked off to an awesome start. Thanks to everyone for making this a safe and positive environment for the kids to play the game they love!
We have a former player, who is now a professional photographer, here at the Round Rock Sports Center. They can be found and purchase at this link: https://steelemarotte.smugmug.com/Basketball/Not-On-Easter-Bash/n-rttbfh
Since this is not directly affiliated with the event, please reach out to Steele directly with any questions. If you would like him to come to your site and shoot your child, reach out ASAP.
Have a great day of basketball everyone!
Good afternoon,
Thanks for coming out to play the Magic Not On Easter Bash this coming Saturday, April 19 only, in Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Georgetown. General reminder to check your schedule paying close attention to the location and times. Site addresses are listed under Venues.
Please make sure your parents know there is a fee for spectators:
$15/day/adults and $5/day/K-12 students (cash and Venmo accepted, no cards)
If you haven't already downloaded the TXBA app, it is the most efficient way to get all schedule updates and event messages. Please note, the Gtown Annex can also be found under its former name Richarte HS. It's in the same parking lot as GHS, and the gym is around the backside of the northern most buildings in the second turn in. The GHS Aux gym in on the main campus by the main gym.
You can find the schedule on the TXBA app and here:

Take note of the sportsmanship rules and serious consequences for any type of violence. Physical and/or verbal violence will result in a full team disqualification from the event without any refunds for spectators or the team. Additionally, any form of violence, including threats, could result in the team not being allowed back at future TXBA events. Help us keep this a safe event for everyone.
If your team is playing at Southwestern University, please have your families consider bringing your own chair in case the limited bleacher seating is full. Courts 4 & 5 especially have limited seating, but plenty of room to stand or set up your own chair. The kids love getting to play on a college campus, so we are excited to provide them with this opportunity and would like everyone to enjoy the experience. Please be respectful of this facility and aware that the upstairs is off limits to our event.
Please communicate with parents that gyms will not open earlier than 7:30am. All standings are decided by win/loss record, head to head, and point differential of opponents in a tie. Site Directors will hand out medals for 1st and 2nd after all games in the division are finished and the standings have updated online.
Please keep in mind players cannot play down in grade level. Also, players must be approved in advance to play on multiple teams in the event. Rules are posted under messages for the event. Please make every effort to keep this a fair and positive environment for the kids to enjoy the sport they love.
Thanks,
Tamie Felty
