2025 USSSA Virginia State Championship (Virginia Tech Campus) Venues

Coaches, as advised in the information you were provided before the event, you will need to keep your bands from today in order to enter for free tomorrow. USSSA will not be providing coach bands tomorrow and will have to pay if you don't have your coach band.

Gym Opening Times:

War will open at 7:20am.

McComas will open at 8:20am.

Admission is CASH ONLY. No Exceptions.

Please read the information below carefully as it will be strictly enforced at this event. USSSA State Officials will be present spectating throughout the event and no exceptions made.

*****If you purchase a 2-day band you will need to keep the band on and enter Sunday with the band on your wrist also. Bands off, taped, etc will not be honored.

*****Wristbands must be worn on wrists at all times (NO EXCEPTIONS). Please understand you will have to pay again if you are found inside the gym and no band is on your wrist.

******Coaches need to keep your bands on from Check-In. New bands will not be issued to coaches that come to the gym Sunday without their coach band.

USSSA State Championship Pricing:

Adults : $40 for 2-day band or $25 for 1 day band.

Children: $10 for 2-day band or $5 for one day band. Ages 6-17. Ages 5 and under are free.

PARKING: There is no charge to park. Please do not double park. Please allow extra time in your planning to navigate both the parking and the traffic advisory below. Officials will not be able to delay games for any reason.

Parking Information from Virginia Tech Leadership:
Please advise participants not to park in service vehicle spots or any that are marked as 24-hour restricted. These spots are clearly labeled and should be easy to identify. Additionally, they must park only in marked parking spaces—no parking on grass, sidewalks, walkways, etc. Please be sure to follow this information to not receive a parking ticket or be towed.

Recommended parking locations:
• War: Drillfield parking (directly outside War) and Prices Fork lot (first lot as you turn onto Drillfield Drive).

• McComas: Coliseum Lot.

Traffic Advisory:
Please be aware that there is a large event downtown (Summer Solstice) that will close Main Street, and there is a possibility that West Campus Drive may also be closed due to construction. We recommend directing participants to use the Southgate Drive entrance to campus via Route 460.

Every effort was made to honor as many schedule requests as possible, I appreciate your flexibility!

There are a couple divisions with pools that a team has an extra game. This was cleared with a coach from the team playing the extra, beforehand. The team with the extra game will not have that game counted for them in seeding.

An additional email will be sent later today with additional tournament information for spectators, including admissions, parking maps, etc.

The schedule will be available by Thursday in Exposure.

An email will go out once the schedule is available. That email will also contain admissions information and other details about the event.

Event t-shirts will be available for purchase onsite.

The online store went down shortly after it launched and would likely not be fixed until tomorrow, so shirts will be available for purchase at the admissions area.

HOTEL DISCOUNTS. PLEASE SEND TO YOUR TEAMS

There is no stay to play requirement but do have a hotel that is offering discount for our state tournament guests. The tournament does not receive anything from the hotel in offering the discount, so do not feel obligated to book.

Hampton Inn

2 Queens $129 per night.

It is not required to stay both nights for the discount.

Located 5 minutes from VT.

Book now pay at the hotel option available.

They will be adding more rooms to the block as they are used.

If you try and says none available, try back an hour or so later to give them time to see they need to add rooms. There is no need to contact me as they will resolve it.

Discount is offered until Monday or before if the hotel fills.
