Southwest Finale

Description

The Southwest Finale will take place July 19-20 in Plano, TX. The event will host girls 17U-13U. This event will be under one roof with strong competition and coaches in attendance.

General Information

Spectator admission will be $20 per day.  No charge for kids 6 and under. Payment can be made at the door cash or card. 

Tournament Rules
1. Each team will play a minimum of 4 games.
2. National High School Federation rules will be followed with the few exceptions listed below.
3. Each player will be allowed a total of six (6) fouls before being disqualified.
4. All games will be played in two (2) fifteen (15) minute halves.
5. Overtime periods will be sudden death with the first team to score at least two points declared
the winner.
6. There will be a running clock in the last ten (10) minutes of the game if and only the point
differential is 20 points or more. Regular timing procedures will resume anytime that the point
differential falls below the 10 point level.
7. There will be a two (2) minute rest period between halves.
8. Teams will be allowed to call three (3) thirty second time-outs during the regulation game. If the
game goes to overtime each team has one (1) thirty second time-out. There is no carry-over of
any unused timeouts from regulation play.
9. There will be a minimum of a four (4) minute warm up period between games.
10. A team will reach the 2 shot free throw bonus on their opponent's 10th team foul of each half.
There will be no two shot bonus on the opponent’s 5th team foul.
11. No game will begin before the time listed on the official game schedule.
12. All teams are expected to arrive for games thirty (30) minutes prior to the scheduled start
times. If a team is not on the court at the scheduled game time an official forfeit may be declared
by the tournament committee. If any team that is knowingly unable to make their scheduled
game they must notify the Tournament Director in advance.
13. Players will be allowed to play for one team only. Once a player plays in a game for one
team, she will no longer be eligible to participate for any other team in the tournament.
14. In Bracket Play, the home team is the top team on the bracket will wear light colored
jerseys and sit to the left of the scorekeeper facing the court.
15. Home team is responsible for the clock, while the visiting team is responsible for keeping the book.
