TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Vertical Hoops Winter Championships 2026
By registering for and participating in the Vertical Hoops Winter Championships 2026, all teams, coaches, players, and guardians agree to the following terms and conditions:
Registration & Payment
* Registration is not considered complete until full payment is received.
* All registrations are final. No spots will be held without payment.
* After December 1, 2025, no refunds or credits will be issued under any circumstance (see full No Refund Policy).
Event Participation & Scheduling
* This is a three-day event. All teams must be prepared to play Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (January 2026).
* Each team is guaranteed three games. However, game times may vary significantly, and teams may play multiple games in one day.
* All teams are required to show up for all scheduled games—no exceptions. Failure to appear may result in forfeits or disqualification from future events.
* At Mohegan Sun events, game schedules are built far in advance based on venue availability and media logistics.
* Teams should expect longer-than-normal gaps between games, sometimes ranging from 4 to 6 hours or more. This is intentional and not subject to adjustment.
* No schedule change requests will be accepted under any circumstance.
Conduct Expectations
* All coaches, players, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves with sportsmanship, respect, and professionalism.
* Any unsportsmanlike behavior, including fighting, verbal abuse, or harassment of officials or staff, will result in immediate ejection and potential banning from future events.
Assumption of Risk & Liability
* Participation in athletic events involves risk of injury. All players, coaches, and guardians assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur during the event.
* Vertical Hoops, its staff, and affiliated partners are not liable for any injuries, accidents, lost property, or damages incurred during the event.
Weather & Force Majeure
* The event will proceed as scheduled, rain or shine, unless deemed unsafe by facility or event directors.
* No refunds or credits will be issued due to weather delays, cancellations, or force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, facility closures, travel restrictions).
Media Consent
* By attending, you grant Vertical Hoops permission to use photographs and videos taken during the event for promotional purposes.
Privacy & Data Usage
* All personal data collected during registration is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Disputes & Decisions
* All scheduling, rulings, and interpretations made by Vertical Hoops staff or directors are final.
* Protests must be made in writing by a coach or program director within 15 minutes of the incident in question.
