Make it Rain 9 - Coaches, Players, Officials, Volunteers and Fans: I hope everyone made it home safe! We would like to once again Thank you for making Make it Rain the premier girls basketball tournament for the Gulf Coast Region!

Our entire staff worked hard to make it an enjoyable and competitive tournament for every team, parent and fan and I know we delivered by all of the positive comments received! There is always an opportunity to improve and we have many things we learned this year that will be improved upon next year!

I would also like to ask that IF you enjoyed the event and plan to come back next year, please go ahead and REGISTER NOW FOR MAKE IT RAIN 10 (April 17-18, 2027) -- this only takes a few minutes and will get your team locked in for 2027! Make It Rain 10 - April 17-18th, 2027 will be our 10th year of the event, and will feature more improvements on what is already one of the most talked about and heavily attended girls basketball events in the Northern Gulf Coast Region!

Make it Rain 9 - Coaches and Fans: Update #4 for this week and hopefully the last one until you arrive on Saturday!

1. Please check the schedule and subscribe to Follow your team on Exposure by clicking your team and then clicking the "Follow" button (4 teams had minor schedule changes due to unforseen issues today - NorthshorePelicans 2030, Navarre Wolves, Dream Smith/LaTour and Alpha Elite Lady Lions 7th grade. All other teams and schedules did not change from what was released yesterday.

2. National Sports ID: IF you are having trouble with your team not being verified, you might be in a ghost copy of the tournament. I asked NSID to remove this, but heard today that some teams were still having this problem. 3. Finally -- the SEEDING for BRACKETS is based on DIVISION STANDINGS ( In this order: WIN/LOSS Record; Head to Head; Point Differential (Common Opponents up to +/- 15) , Point Differential Overall (up to +/- 15), Points Allowed ). This is very different from how other tournaments seed their brackets. We have found through trial and error that this creates very competitive matchups on Sunday, even if the Saturday games are not great matchups and less blowout games.

Every Bracket first and second place team will receive Make it Rain custom necklaces!

Coaches will have a schedule in their EMAIL first thing tomorrow morning! If a team wants to drop, the LAST day to drop with a refund is TODAY, Saturday, April 11th. After today, no refunds will be given.

I have 2 teams wanting IN and I did not want to exclude them, so no hard feelings if you have to drop your team, but I need to know TODAY!

Coaches will have tomorrow to review the draft schedule UNTIL 6PM and the schedule will be released as FINAL on Exposure after that! We are excited to host the 9th MAKE IT RAIN Girls Exposure Tournament at the newly announced DIVISION 1 - Atlantic Sun Conference - University of West Florida Facility in Pensacola!!

I was able to honor EVERY HEAD COACH/ADMINISTRATOR REQUEST I received. Every single one. This is as perfect as I can get.

This is for you to confirm that there are NO MAJOR ISSUES with this schedule.

There are a couple of teams that have large gaps between games. I am sorry for that. It was unavoidable. A couple of teams have an especially large gap between games. I checked every single one of those and they were each caused by another schedule restriction or rest between games requirement. This schedule is the best I could do with all of the restrictions I had to work with.

In any tournament, some teams have to play the 8AM games and some teams have to play the 9PM games. I only have 4 courts. My teams are playing both.

CHECK IN, GATE AND HOSPITALITY:
The two most expensive parts of hosting a tournament are the FACILITY and the OFFICIALS. UWF is expensive. In order for us to be able to continue offering a quality tournament experience for all teams, we have to have strict gate policies.

GATE FEES for the WEEKEND (13 and older): $40
i. Day Pass: $25
ii. 12 years old and under: Free, no armband given
iii. Players: No armband given, but must be IN UNIFORM (not carrying it and waving it as you walk by....wearing it! There are bathrooms upstairs for changing.)
iv. Male players from other tournaments will not be able to get in for free.

11 Teams that are planning to check in with Report Cards and Birth Certificates – please make sure you are prepared for this – 1 HOUR PRIOR to your FIRST GAME
1. Have your roster copy printed and ready to hand to the check in table – listed in alphabetical order is a good idea – list player name, birthdate, grade and uniform #
2. Line up your players by the roster order – if you have a BINDER, please put it in alphabetical order by last name
3. PRINT OUTS of REPORT CARDS should not be SCREENSHOTS – it should be FULL REPORT CARDS showing: School Name, Current School year (between August 1, 2025 and June 1, 2026), Player Name, Classes and Grades.
4. Birth Certificates should be readable copies showing the birth date and location.

edited.... Coaches and Fans: The 9th Make it Rain Girls Basketball tournament has sold out!! We are taking "Wait List" teams at this time. The team list for PAID teams is released on the exposure app. Please read below for details.... Make sure you FOLLOW your team to get updates! IF you are not on the list, (this applies to 14 teams) it is because you either haven't registered or haven't paid. All unpaid teams are on the wait list as of today. The first 12 teams that pay will be admitted to the tournament until I get to 52 teams which is our final and maximum capacity. I added a late game slot on Saturday night to allow 4 more teams but that is all I can do. I am not going offsite for any games and noone wants to play Friday night. I apologize if this policy causes you any heartburn, but this is the rule for this tournament. I have sent multiple reminders to unpaid teams by text and email.

OTHER REMINDERS:

2. IF you are not an NSID registered team, all players and coaches will need to check in together 1 hour prior to your first game. Each player should have their current school report card from this year and their birth certificate ready at check in. NO unverified players are allowed in this tournament.

3. I will honor schedule requests to the best of my ability and will publish a DRAFT schedule on Sunday, April 12th - this will be sent to the coaches for a 1 day review. Coaches must get back to me by Monday end of day with any requests for changes. NO REFUNDS will be given once the schedule is released, so if you need to cancel, you must do that by Saturday, April 11th to be eligible for a refund.

4. The FINAL SCHEDULE will be released on EXPOSURE on Tuesday, April 14th.

6. Please be ON TIME! Allow for traffic and unexpected delays. We start all games ON TIME. If a team is late, 1 point will be added to the score of the team that is present up to 15 points where it will be a Forfeit. This prevents penalizing later games trying to make up for a late team.

7. GATE FEES are $40 for weekend passes and $25 for a day pass. 12 year olds and under are free. You can pay for your gate pass with cash, cashapp, venmo or by credit card.

8. We have contacted BALLER TV and plan to have all games streamed!

9. There will be a Sports Trainer at this tournament. They are NOT considered Emergency Medical response personnel, their role is to evaluate injuries, wrap, tape and ice, and help your player recover before and in between games. If a true medical emergency happens, UWF Police will assist with contacting an ambulance service.

Make it Rain 9 will sell out tomorrow! If you have not paid your invoice, please pay it by tomorrow end of day! I am closing registration tomorrow because I only have room for 48 teams.

Checking in by entering your team on National Sports ID will speed up your team’s entry. If checking in by roster, report card and birth certificate, you will need to check in with ALL COACHES AND PLAYERS at least 1 HOUR PRIOR to your first game. All players who will play in ANY GAME must have their report card for this current school year and their birth certificate.
We check every player and we do this for every team that is not fully certified on National Sports ID.

ALL: Small schedule change affecting a few teams. I have contacted each coach and informed them, but everyone please double check the schedule to make sure you have the right games and showtimes.

Remember: If you are National Sports ID cleared, only your coaches must check in. If you are checking in with report cards and birth certificates, you will need:
1. A copy of your roster
2. All players with their bith certificates and a report card from this year
3. 1 Hour prior to your first game. The 8AM game teams can arrive at 7AM for check in.

The GATE WILL NOT OPEN until 7:30AM, so getting there at 7AM will not be useful. We are saving money by not opening the courts early.

Also: the rules have been updated in the Documents section, take time to look them over since they are very different from other tournaments in this area.

Reminders: 1. IF your team has their roster updated on Exposure, the scoresheet will already have your roster on it (saves you time!). 2. If your team has National Sports ID, make sure you have Joined the tournament so we can see your roster (saves time on check in)!
