Hi Folks,

A number of our Capitol City Showcase teams are also interested in the 2025 Capitol City Classic presented by Toyota. As such, we wanted to be sure you know that the CCC's fields - both boys and girls - will be announced tonight on Instagram Live (@capitolcityclassic) at 7:30pm.

Description

The 10th Annual Capitol City Showcase presented by Chuck E. Cheese is a prestigious youth tournament for boys and girls in grades 3-8 to be held at multiple high schools and facilities in the greater Salem-Keizer, Oregon area on the weekend of December 13 & 14. The CCS, a State Tourney Qualifier, has a number of special features for participant teams, and an extraordinary amount of perks for teams who play in the event - fun benefits you will not find at any other youth tourney!

Four Divisions per Grade Level:
> OPEN GOLD - Best of the best! Open to all comers (travel, club, CYO, community &/or school-based teams)
> OPEN SILVER - Open to all comers like Open Gold, but your team does not want to play the "best of the best"
> SCHOOL GOLD - School or community-based competitive teams
> SCHOOL SILVER - School or community-based teams that are more recreational in their developmental journey at this time

State Tourney Qualifying Tournament:
The CCS's school-only divisions are qualifiers for the Oregon Middle School State Basketball Championships to be held in Salem in 2026.

Conveniently Located
Salem is in the heart of the Willamette Valley, and an easy drive up or down I-5 from a large chunk of Oregon's population. Depending on where you might be coming from, playing in Salem for many is not much (if any) farther than playing across town in one of the state's bigger cities. Contemplating the CCS? Please keep in mind it's just a short zip up or down I5 for most!

Play New Teams
Tired of playing the same old teams tourney after tourney? Because the CCS has tended to draw from all over Oregon over the years, it is a tournament that offers teams the chance to play teams from a wide range geographically.

Have 8 or more teams playing in the CCS? You not only will qualify for a big multiple team discount, but also will automatically become a Youth Basketball Organization Partner of the CCC and have the opportunity for free banner display, PA announcements, Sponsor Board recognition, tickets and more at the 2025 Capitol City Classic presented by Toyota, which had record attendance of 44,000 in 2024. Pizza Party for Division Winners!
Champions of divisions at the CCS win championship tees to commemorate their successful weekend of hoops, like at many other events. But at the CCS, for every division with 6+ teams, the division champions also will get a pizza party for the team at Chuck E. Cheese, the sponsor of the Capitol City Showcase. For every team that requests it in a timely way, a free team outing to the 2025 Capitol City Classic is available for the team's players and coaches (s.t. terms & conditions)

Free Tickets to the CCC for CCS Team Coaches
Besides the free team outing possibility, for all coaches who request them in a timely way, a free One Day pass, good for admission to an entire day at the CCC, is available (s.t. terms & conditions)

Free Waffle Fries for all CCS Participant Coaches & Players

Invitation to the 2025 CCC Contest Extravaganza
The Capitol City Classic will once again have nationally-ranked teams and players, some of whom are destined to be future NBA lottery picks. Last year, the field on the boys' side included 5-star prospects Alijah Arenas (son of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas); Jason Crowe Jr. (who will become California's all-time leading scorer this year in all likelihood) & 6'11 CJ Rosser (the #1 ranked sophomore in America last year). This year's talent might be event better. For participating in the CCS, all teams, both coaches and players, are invited to the CCC's Contest Extravaganza free of charge on Saturday, December 20 at 8:45pm at Willamette University. The Contest Extravaganza will feature a 3-Point Contest, a Hot Shot Contest, a Slam Dunk Contest and much more in a fun-filled setting. We hope you can join us! (s.t. terms & conditions)
