Coaches & Parents,

It has come to our attention that our social media team was late in pulling brackets from our scheduling software and as a result, times are showing on our social media pages that might show some incorrect game times. Basically, these snapshots were taken from our scheduling software when games were being moved around on the scheduling grid. They were not final!!!!!

Everyone needs to double-check the schedule to verify your correct times for Friday. The OAB app is accurate. What you see in Instagram may not be accurate!!!!!

If you haven't seen it yet, it can be viewed here: https://basketball.exposureevents.com/253870/oregon-boys-large-school-state-championship/schedule and on the OAB app.

APPAREL PRE-ORDERS - Apparel pre-orders can be done through our web store: https://statetourney.myshopify.com/ Check it out and we'll have something ready for you to pick up at the Pac Community Center this weekend!

Coaches,

We are still missing All-State Nominations from about 50 teams.

If you haven't submitted all-state nominations for your team, you can do so here:

2026 Girls All State Nominations

Please get this in by the end of the weekend. Ballots will go out next week.

Coaches,

As the tournament is winding down; thank you to everyone that makes this such a fun event to run!

Every year we compile an "All-State" team based on all-tournament nominations. All-State teams will be posted to our social media pages at the conclusion of the Boys D1 tournament on March 6-8.

At this time, we need all coaches to submit their all-state nominations here: All-State Nominations. These are kids from your team that will be submitted to other coaches in your division to vote on

Please get these in by Thursday morning.

We will be sending a list of nominations out to coaches by the end of the week. Coaches will vote on all-state teams based on nominees provided. Results won't be posted for a couple weeks, but we want voting to be done while the kids performances over the weekend are still fresh in your heads.

Thank you again for making this a great weekend!

Coaches & Parents,

There have been a couple of changes to the schedule. Everyone must double-check the schedule!!!

If you haven't seen it yet, it can be viewed here: https://basketball.exposureevents.com/253868/oregon-girls-state-championship/schedule and on the OAB app.

COACHES/SCOREKEEPER CHECK-IN - All coaches and scorekeepers check-in will be done on Friday. You will be given a weekend pass. If you change scorekeepers or change coaches throughout the weekend, it is your responsiblity to transfer that pass. No pass means you pay for entry. Treat these passes like cash. There is no refund/recovery option if they are lost. We did this last weekend on the Boys Small-School tournament and it made it much more efficient for coaches and scorekeepers to get into the facilities on Saturday & Sunday without having to check-in.

APPAREL PRE-ORDERS
- Apparel pre-orders can be done through our web store: https://statetourney.myshopify.com/ Check it out and we'll have something ready for you to pick up at the Pac Community Center this weekend!

SPECTATOR CONDUCT

WE NEED OFFICIALS MORE THAN WE NEED TEAMS: Yes, we do drop teams from tournaments and ban then from future events with no refund for parent conduct. Parents and coaches are not to confront an official for any reason after the game. Doing so could be a barrier to your programs participation in future events or even completing this event. Refunds will not be given in these instances. If you have issues with referees, read below. Make sure your parents have this information! You are responsible for the conduct of your players and spectators! Referees are instructed to issue technical fouls for spectator behavior!

PARENTS - If you have an issue with a referee, you must direct it through your coach. Parents or coaches who confront an official after the game or verbally abuse an official during the game will be banned from future games/events. In some instances we will drop teams from the event with no refund for that event or any future events due to parent conduct. This is not negotiable. You are responsible for the conduct of your spectators. If anyone from your team verbally harass our officials, you run the risk of getting ejected from the gym. I will not entertain conversations of "they need to have thicker skin" or "what I said wasn't that bad....". You open your mouth, you take on the risk associated with it.

We look forward to hosting you this weekend,

-State Tournament Team

Coaches & Families,

IT'S TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your girls have a had a great season and it's time to cap it off with the State Tournament.

Here is a rundown on what to expect this week.

FIELD OF TEAMS - The field of teams is now available on the Oregon Amateur Basketball app. It can also be found here: https://basketball.exposureevents.com/253868/oregon-girls-state-championship/teams

DIVISION PLACEMENT - Default divisons for 5A & 6A Feeder Programs is Division 1. Default divisions for 4A feeder programs and lower as well as 5A/6A "B" teams is Division 2. Simply choosing to register as a D2 team or playing in D2 tournaments during the winter does not guarantee D2 Placement. Large school teams currently in D2 divisions have already been approved. If you are currently slotted in D1 and want to petition to move to D2, you can do that here: DIVISION EXEMPTION REQUEST The deadline for these exemption requests is 10 am Tuesday morning. We will not look at petitions after that. There is no guarantee that your petition will be accepted. The Division 2 level of play is put in place with the primary focus on the smaller communities in Oregon. It was not put in place as an option for Large School teams to play in simply because they have a better chance of winning.

SEEDING - This will be published Tuesday. Generally we followed the seeding on OMSAA, with a couple of modifications for teams that didn't have a minimum of 8 games, to avoid teams traveling for regional match-ups in the opening round or to get teams from the same program on opposite sides of the bracket.

BRACKET REVEAL - Brackets will be revealed throughout the day Tuesday. This will all be done on the State Tourney Instagram Page and on the OAB app.

SCHEDULE - Schedule will be posted late Tuesday evening.

FRIDAY GAME TIMES - Games will start as early as 12 pm on Friday. I know that's early and may involve some missed class time. We are going to try to limit this as much as possible based on geography and how seeds come out. In order to run a true bracketed event, it does require more games to be played and for that to happen we need to start games a little earlier than some may have hoped.

FRIDAY-SUNDAY - Best weekend of the year!

MONDAY (or soon thereafter) - All Tournament nominations will be sent to coaches. They must be returned by the end of the week.

FOLLOWING WEEK (or soon there after) - All State ballots will be sent to coaches with the nominations from the tournaments. Coaches will vote on 1st, 2nd & 3rd teams (depending on nominations).

MID-TO-LATE MARCH - All-State teams revealed.

We're looking forward to hosting everyone in Salem this weekend!
