PVBL - Winter 2025 Basketball League JV Boys West

Good Morning,

Once again, I thank all of the coaches, directors, players, parents, and spectators for their understanding as we dealt with these weather conflicts and there understanding.

It has been a challenge to ensure that most divisions are completed by this weekend. Please take the time to review your schedules (https://basketball.exposureevents.com/254074/pvbl-winter-2025-basketball-league/schedule).

In order to attempt to complete the season for most divisions by the March 8, 2026 date we had to be very creative in thought. Please note that any ALl-Star Game will be scheduled for the weekend of March 28, 2026.

Those teams that are going to be in the Playoff/Championships, who qualify, final schedule will be up no later that March 3, 2026. The weekend will be hectic.

We do thank everyone for their patience as we deal with the weather issues as well as the other chanlenges over the school year that we have had to deal with.

Just a note that we are evaluating the current status of the league in order to make sure we do what it takes to make sure that you get everything that you expected. The two weekends of snow have set us back some, so we are trying our best to schedule accordingly so that we can possibly finish most divisions ontime. As a reminder, no player can play down. No players can play on two teams in the same division! Please have your rosters complete! Rosters only require player number and names. No other personal information is required. Please have proof of grade and age available, should anyone contest one of your players. No Player may be added to the roster for just the purpose of playoffs. If they are not on your original rosters and haven't player prior then they are not eliigible to play in the Playoffs or Championships. Please note that we can not take anymore scheduling requests at this time.

We will have a definite evaluation and plan no later than Monday February 23, 2026. We appreciate everyone being patient as we work through this.

We really do appreceiate how will this season has ran for the most part and how understanding the coaches, players and parents have been for the most part as well as how supportive they have been.

Unfortunately Montgomery County School is keeping it's code red until Monday Feb 4, 2025. So all County Gyms are closed and I was unable to get a replacement gym. The following weeks schedule will be available tomorrow. If anyone is available to play on future Fridays, please let me know. As we can also plan some games on Friday evenings.

All games on Saturday January 24, 2025 will run as scheduled.

Due to expected weather issues (Snow Stom), Montgomery County Public Schools will be closing all schools tonight at midnight. No games will occur on Sunday January 25, 2025. All games will be rescheduled for a later date.

Scheduling requests must be sent out at least 8 days prior and before the schedule is released in order for us to attempt to accomodate. We do our best to accomodate, but no request can be guaranteed. If your request is too complicated, then you might find your scheduled extremeluy odd. No scheduling requests will be honored for March 7-8, whcih are playoff and Championship weekend. All requests should be emailed to info@pvbl.org. (inc team name, grade level and request)

Any weather issues will be sent out as soon as we find out via the text and email that you received this on and posted on the website with the schedule! If for some reason the weather does effect us, the games will be scheduled in the future.

Roster links will be sent out shortly to the primary contact. so you can update accordingly. Any player on your roster that is in question, is required to show birth certificate and report card, and possible student ID. REMINDER PLAYERS CANNOT PLAY DOWN. PLAYERS CANNOT PLAY ON 2 TEAMS IN THE SAME DIVISION or more than 2 TEAMS IN THE SAME ORGANIZATION!

Please check your score to insure it is logged right. Preferably, check your score prior to leaving the gym as well.

Please pass this on to the parents: Season passes can be picked up at the entry desk on Saturday or Sunday. Please have the parents who puchase bring their phones with the email confirmation so that it can be redeemed accordingly. Going forward there will be a shorter and quicker way for season pass holders to enter the gym Remind the parents that season passes are not good for tournaments, all star, playoff and championship games. Season passes only admit 1 person who purchased and are not exchangeable. Good Evening,

Unless told otherwise, if the Montgomery County School is closed due to weather, then the league will be suspended. We follow there schedule as we use the schools primarily for our events.

This upcoming weekend, January 24-25, 2026 seems to have a possibility of snow on Saturday evening through Sunday. At this point, games schedule are still in effect. We will be monitoring the weather carefully and making appropriate decisions and notices. Saturday seems to have minimum to 0 danger of being cancelled. Sunday seems to report a bad snow storm. Montgomery County Schools will notify us as soon as they make any decision as to the school's availability. We will send a message out via this manner accordingly to all coaches. as soon as we are aware of any issue. We will also place a message on the schedule screen which will show on the ap as well.

Saturday January 10, 2026 is the first day of games for the Winter Season. We Inlook forward to this day as all of you do. Once again, schedules can be viewed online at https://basketball.exposureevents.com/254074/pvbl-winter-2025-basketball-league/schedule. We are working on future schedules currently. Without the exceptions of errors or mistakes their will be limited changes to the schedule. There will be no schedule requests for AllStar, Playoff or Championship games!

Coaches please note:
- Coaches are required to check-in (Only 2 Coaches per team allowed at no charge)
- Coaches are responisble for the team and spectators.
- Players are required to wear uniforms in order to enter at no charge
- - - Unique number uniforms is required
- - - Home team wears WHITE or Lighter side of uniform
- - - Away team wears Darker uniform
- - - Admin or Referees may request a change if deemed necessary
- Coaches, please control the basketball that the players are carrying. NO BASKETBALLS ARE ALLOWED TO BE BOUNCED IN THE HALLS!
- Spectator Entry charge for regular season games is $10.00 per person. Children under 8 are free. (NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES)
- - - Spectators are not allowed on the court or outside court area, except in designated seating areas
- - - NO PETS, NO SMOKING, NO WEAPONS, NO ALCOHOL, NO DRUGS
- - - Bands will be placed on you and must be worn at all times
- - - No loitering in the halls or in any areas! (DO NOT ROAM THE SCHOOLS)
- - - Payment via Cash, CashApp, PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle

- - - Children shouldn't be left unattended at anytime!

- Gym Access for the 1st game will be approximately 15 minutes prior to start (i.e. first game is at 9:00 am, then access to gym will be at 8:45 am)
- - - Nobody is to be in the gym prior to the Front Entry and gym being setup.
- - - As a note please be advised that all teams are allowed 3-5 minutes to warm up.
