KB SPORTS – OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES
PRE-GAME RULES
• Home team wears light jerseys; Away team wears dark jerseys.
• Games start on schedule (max 5-minute early start).
• Game ball provided by Teams (28.5 or 29.5).
• Clock stops on all whistles.
• Halftime: 2 minutes.
GAME FORMAT
•2 Half’s , 1st grade to 5th 12mins, 6th to 8th 14mins, 9th to 12th 16mins
• Clock stops if team gets under 10 points in second half.
• 20-point lead = running clock.
• If it’s a 20 point lead with two minutes left in the second half the game is called.
TIMEOUTS
• 3 timeouts per team (45 seconds each).
• Unused timeouts do not carry over.
Ball may be advanced in final 2 minutes.
Under one minute and the second half the ball may be advanced to half court with possession and timeout.
FOUL RULES
• 1-and-1 bonus at 10 team fouls.
• Double bonus at 13 team fouls.
• 2 technical fouls = automatic ejection.
OVERTIME
• 2-minute overtime (stop clock).
• 1 timeout per team.
• Fouls carry over.
• First team to score in 2nd OT wins.
COACHES & BENCH
• Max 2 coaches per team (wristbands required).
• Only head coach may stand during play.
Coaches responsible for player & spectator behavior.
No seat-belting coaches after technical foul.
SPORTSMANSHIP
• Zero tolerance for fighting or abusive behavior.
• Ejected individuals must leave facility immediately.
• Tournament Director has final authority.
FORFEITS & PROTESTS• 10-minute grace period; forfeit score 15–0.
• $100 cash protest fee (refunded if upheld).

Teams will compete in excellent local facilities, against a range of teams and levels, in a well organized, family friendly environment for affordable prices for both teams and spectators.

KB Sports - RULES CHECK-IN 2 COACHES BANDS WILL BE PROVIDED DURING THE CHECK IN PROCESS. THESE BANDS MUST BE WORN THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT. IF BANDS ARE MISPLACED COACHES WILL HAVE TO PAY ENTRY FEE.

2nd GRADE/2033
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 2nd GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CAN NOT be older than 9 on or before August 31, 2025.
3rd GRADE/2032
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 3rd GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 10 on or before August 31, 2025.
4th GRADE/2031
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 4th GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 11 on or before August 31, 2025.
5th GRADE/2030
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 5th GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 12 on or before August 31, 2025.
6th GRADE/2029
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 6th GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 13 on or before August 31, 2025.
7th GRADE/2028
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 7th GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 14 on or before August 31, 2025.
8th GRADE/2027
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 8th GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 15 on or before August 31, 2025.
9th GRADE/2026
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 9th GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 16 on or before August 31, 2025.
10th GRADE/2025
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 10th GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 17 on or before August 31, 2025.
11th GRADE/12th GRADE (2025/2024)
AN ATHLETE MUST BE IN THE 11TH/12TH GRADE or BELOW as of October 1, 2024 and CANNOT be older than 19 on or before August 31, 2025.
