General Information
Origins and Growth:
The Grind Session was launched to address a growing demand for high-level, structured competition outside the traditional high school basketball season. Through its affiliation with FIBA's Youth Development Program, the league has not only expanded its geographic reach but increased its visibility among professional scouts and collegiate programs.
The aim has always been to prepare top talent for college basketball and beyond. By 2025, it is recognized as both a major proving ground for rising stars and a community influencing the evolution of prep basketball worldwide.
Impact on Player Development:
Nearly 3,000 players have graduated from the circuit into college or NBA careers. Notable alumni include Jayson Tatum, LeMelo Ball, DeAndre Ayton, Paolo Banchero, Jalen Green and Jamal Murray, among others.
Since 2016 alone, the circuit has produced at least 50 NBA draft picks, including 22 first-rounders.
