AAU Boys D3 World Championships Divisions

Hello Coaches and Coordinators,
ALL ROSTERS ARE DUE TOMORROW AT MIDNIGHT! They will be going through a pre-registration process and must be updated!
all player information must be up to date and cannot be left blank!
Also, ALL COACHES MUST HAVE AN AAU CARD! If you do not have an AAU card you will be forced to buy a spectator band and be placed in the spectator seating!
AAU Membership
This is an official AAU licensed event hosted by the AAU Headquarters
AAU Memberships are required to participate! We allow 15 players and 4 coaches per roster. Every person sitting on the bench during a game needs to have an AAU Membership.

Types of Memberships
- Non-Athlete (Coaches/Admin) - $55 or $57 - one year or $75 or $77 - two year
- Athlete (Players) - $20 or $22 - one year
(Pay extra $2 for “extended Membership” providing AAU insurance in any basketball events hosted by other companies)
Memberships are valid from Sept 1 – Aug 31st.
Retrieval Time
- Non-Athlete - Level 2 background check by NCSI. Please give yourself 3 days for processing. Complete email from NCSI after AAU application.
- Athletes – typically instantaneous but no longer than 24hours
All AAU Membership Cards will be received via email.
Cross Boundary Athlete
All players must be from either the same state/district or adjoining state/district to participate on the same team.
Recruiting from all over the country/internationally to play on the same team is prohibited in the AAU World Championships.
Roster Participation Restrictions
a. Only males may participate as players for grades 13U/7th grade and up.
b. Females may participate as players on Boys’ teams from 7U/1st to 12U/6th Grade.
c. An athlete must play with one (1) team within one (1) age/grade skill level at any World Championship event when those Championship competitions take place at the same date and time (i.e., An athlete playing on a 10u/4th Grade D2 team cannot compete on a 10u/4th Grade D1 team at the same World Championship).
d. Athletes that competes in more than one age/grade division must compete with the same club.
e. Athletes must participate in the state/district of their residence, or an adjoining state/district, or as otherwise permitted by the AAU Code.
f. May 1st will be the date used to determine a player’s residence in a state

AAU Boys D3 World Championships offers the following divisions. Any documents can be viewed, printed or downloaded.
Boys 10U/4th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 10 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 4th grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2023, is eligible to compete in the 10U/4th Grade division.
Boys 11U/5th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 11 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 5th grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2023, is eligible to compete in the 11U/5th Grade division.
Boys 12U/6th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 12 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 6th grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2023, is eligible to compete in the 12U/6th Grade division.
Boys 13U/7th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 13 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 7th grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2023, is eligible to compete in the 13U/7th Grade division.
Boys 14U/8th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 14 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 8th grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 15 on or before August 31, 2023, is eligible to compete in the 14U/8th Grade division.
Boys 15U/9th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 15 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 9th Grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 16 on or before August 31, 2023 is eligible to compete in the 15U/9th Grade division.
Boys 16U/10th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 16 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 10th Grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 17 on or before August 31, 2023 is eligible to compete in the 16U/10th Grade division.
Boys 17U/11th Grade
An athlete can be no older than 17 on or before August 31, 2023. Grade Policy: An athlete who is in the 11th Grade as of October 1, 2022 and who is no older than 18 on or before August 31, 2023 is eligible to compete in the 17U/11th Grade division.
