We’re excited to see you all for the Swish Basketball Tournament this weekend!
The Helena School District has asked us to share their Facilities Use Policy Reminder for anyone using their gyms. That document is attached—please review it before the weekend.
Tournament Merchandise
Team Uptop will be selling tournament merchandise this year. Items will be available for purchase at:
-Saturday: East Helena High, Capital High, and Helena High
-Sunday: Four Georgians Elementary and Prickly Pear Elementary
Passes for Coaches & Volunteers
Coaches, please remember to pick up:
-Your coach passes
-Volunteer passes for the individuals running the clock or keeping the book for each of your games
These passes are valid only for the games you are coaching or volunteering for. If you plan to go and watch other games at other gyms as a spectator, a ticket will be required.
Here is a link to this year’s tournament rules, which include the disciplinary policy. Referees, court supervisors, and volunteers will be enforcing these rules throughout the event.

The tournament schedule is now posted! Please review it and let me know if you notice any major conflicts.
A few important reminders for the weekend:
-Each team is responsible for supplying volunteers for the scorebook and the game clock. The home team will keep the book and the away team will run the clock. Please make sure you have a designated person for each of your games.
-Each team will receive four (4) volunteer ticket vouchers and two (2) coach vouchers. Coaches will be able to pick those up at the gym of their first game.
-Tickets will be sold at the door (cash only).Children (K-12) and adults are $10/day and seniors are $5/day. Non-school aged children are free.
Children not yet in school: Free
-We will not be providing medals this year.
Team Uptop will be selling merchandise at select gyms. I will share those locations once they are confirmed.

The Helena Area Chamber of Commerce Sports and Tournament Committee wishes to extend an invitation to your youth basketball team(s) to participate in the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce Youth Basketball Tournament to be held Saturday, March 7th & Sunday March 8th, 2026 in Helena and East Helena, Montana.

General Information
-Entries will be accepted for boys and girls in Grades 3/4 and 5 through 8. There will be a Boys Division and a Girls Division at each grade level with 3rd and 4th Graders being combined. Any Co-ed teams will be bracketed & compete in the Boys Division.
-Teams are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once we reach our maximum capacity, all brackets will be closed. If a particular grade does not fill, it will be combined with the next grade. (i.e. 5th & 6th).
-Each team is guaranteed four games. In most cases, there will be three games of pool play to determine the seeding of the 4th game to be played. Teams will be seeded in the following manner: 1) Win – Loss Record 2) Head to Head Play 3) Point Differential (15 points max) & if there is still a tie 4) A Coin Toss.
-Divisions are limited; therefore, we encourage you to register as soon as possible.
-All standard applicable basketball rules as found in the NFHS Basketball Rules Book will be used with the exceptions outlined on the rules sheet. Teams are encouraged to have uniform shirts with visible numbers on the back. Numbers on the front are recommended.
-Games will be played at local Helena, East Helena and Montana City school gymnasiums.
-We must have a cell phone number sent in with the team registration form so that we can contact the coach if there are any schedule changes during the tournament.
