General Information

The Moneyball State Championship is Michigan’s premier men’s basketball league, bringing together the best talent and everyday competitors from across the state. Featuring 40 teams across four regions — Detroit, Flint, Lansing, and Grand Rapids — the league is built on competition, community, and bragging rights.

Each team is guaranteed 8 games, with official stats tracked and individual game clips available for players and fans. Teams receive custom Moneyball uniforms as part of their entry, adding to the professional, well-organized experience.

At the end of regional play, the top 2 teams from each region advance to the Moneyball State Championship Great Eight in Lansing. There, the best of the best battle it out for the ultimate prize — custom championship rings and the right to claim they truly Run The State.

This is more than just a league, it’s a platform for hoopers who love the game, want real competition, and are ready to represent their city with pride.
The Road To The Championship
The road to the Moneyball State Championship runs through four cities, four weekends of competition, and one championship weekend. Every game moves teams one step closer to the ultimate goal: to Run The State.
