Roster Participation Restrictions
Females may participate as players on Boys’ teams
An athlete must play with one (1) team within one (1) age/grade skill level at any KB Sports National Championship event when those Championship competitions take place at the same date and time (i.e., An athlete playing on a 10u/4th Grade D2 team cannot compete on a 10u/4th Grade D1 team at the same Championship).
Athletes that competes in more than one age/grade division must compete with the same club.
Please have the following information with you at registration. Will check EVERY athlete to verify eligibility.
ATHLETE VERIFICATION
1. Proof of Age & Photo ID
Acceptable Forms
- An Passport (unexpired)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Department of Motor Vehicles I.D. card issued within three (3) years
- Military Dependent I.D.
- The current year school ID (2025-26) w/picture and a copy of a birth certificate
- Electronic Age Verification through National Sports ID
2. Proof of Grade
Acceptable Forms
- Report card for the current school year which shows name, grade and school. (original or photocopy)
- Confirmation of grade level from a school administrator (guidance counselor, principal, dean, etc.) on school letterhead - National Sports ID with grade verification.
KB Sports Championship GAME RULES
CLOCK: Clock will stop at time outs, dead balls, and free throws. If a team is up by 20 points
in the second half , the clock will run until the lead is under 10 points.
PLAYING TIMES:
2nd through 6th Grade (2) 14 Minute Half
7th through 12th Grade (2) 16 minute Half
Last .10 Seconds of the 4th Quarter and overtime, with a Timeout you can advance the ball to half court.
Only the designated head coach may stand up during the game.
➔ No seatbelting coaches after being assessed a technical foul, so allowed to stand post technical foul.
➔ Coaches will be ejected on their 2nd technical and must leave the building. **Subject to change by event organizer**
HALFTIME 2 minute half time WARM UP: 3 minutes or the time left until the scheduled start time
TIMEOUTS: Each team will have 2 per half (one full and one 30 second), one 30 sec. timeout in
overtime. Time outs do not carry over.
FOULS: Players will foul out after 6 fouls. (5 fouls per quarter one and one / 7+ fouls Per quarter 2
Shots)
TEAM FOUL COUNT WILL RESET AFTER QUARTER (4TH QTR TEAM FOULS WILL
CARRY OVER INTO OVERTIME)
OVERTIME: 1 min.stopped clock (After the first overtime, the first team to score wins the game)
GRACE TIME: 5 minute wait period. Teams must have a minimum of 4 players for the game to
begin.
(The tournament director has the discretion to allow more time, if feasible)
Full Court Pressure: (Rules for 6th grade and under) If a team gains a lead of 20 points or more in the 2nd Half, the leading team will
NOT be allowed to apply full court pressure against the opposing team until the point differential
drops below 15 points. Failure to adhere to this rule will 1st result in a team warning, 2nd technical
fouls will be enforced on the leading team. This rule applies to 6th grade and under.
Basketball Size: 1st grade and 2nd grade Boys/Girls 27.5 circumference basketball.
-3rd through 6th Grade Boys/3rd through 12th Grade Girls 28.5 circumference basketball.
-7th Grade Boys through 12th grade 29.5 circumference basketball.
-Home team is responsible for the game ball.
Bench Personnel: A bench may only have the eligible persons listed on the roster/scoresheet, up
to two assistant coaches, and one head coach. Only one coach is allowed to stand during game time.
Players/Fans on the Court
Only players and coaches on the team’s roster will be allowed on the courts during the team’s game time.
Fans
are not allowed to play on the court during any part of the tournament. This includes but is not limited to;
bouncing a basketball, shooting a basketball, dribbling a basketball, walking on the basketball court. Fans and
other teams are not allowed on the court during any time of the day. This includes but is not limited to; during
warm ups, during time outs, during halftime, etc.

NON-ROSTER
If the team's FULL roster is not in the system the team will receive a technical foul to start the
game. The opposing team will get 2 attempts at free throws.
TECHNICAL FOULS/EJECTIONS: Players/Coaches who are ejected from the game must exit the court for
the remainder of the game time. Use of Profanity or demeaning language by player, coach, or spectator will
result in a technical. (This rule will be enforced based on the severity of use and at the refs and/or directors
discretion of need) Spectator technical will be issued to the spectator’s supporting team. Intentional Physical
Altercations, or continued demeaning actions by a player, coach, or spectator will result in an automatic game
ejection. It will be at the event director’s discretion if the altercation will result in ejection from the remainder of
the event. A coach or player will be ejected from the game after two technical fouls. If a coach or player
intentionally hits or threatens a player or another coach he/she will be ejected from the tournament.
Misbehavior/Ejections
Any coach ejected for fighting will be removed for the remainder of the tournament.
Any player recorded on the official score sheet as ejected for fighting will be prohibited from playing in their
next scheduled game. Penalties up to expulsion from the tournament can be levied upon players ejected for
fighting.
If a coach or player is ejected from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct (not fighting), he/she must leave the
visible game area for the duration of the game.
If a coach or player is ejected a second time, he/she will be ineligible for participating in the remainder of the
tournament.
Coaches or athletes who leave the confines of the bench to engage players, coaches, fans, or officials on the
playing floor can face expulsion from the tournament.
KB Sports may impose suspensions or other penalties which occurs at any time and any location during the event.
Coaches and athletes who engage in misbehavior may be subject to additional disciplinary action from local
police department.
SPECTATOR/COACH/PLAYER BEHAVIOR
-Spectators are to "CHEER and SUPPORT HIS/HER OWN TEAM" from the stands. Spectators are not
allowed to enter the court or either team's bench.If a player, spectator or coach is ejected by an official, they
must leave the gym immediately. Failure to comply will result in the disqualification of the associated team. If,
spectator, coach, and/or player does not comply with event rules and procedures, and/or tournament directors
redirection to improve and/or stop inappropriate behaviors. The violator will be required to leave within 2
minutes of being told to leave. Failure to comply results in a team's forfeit and police will be called.Zero
Tolerance:
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT THE EJECTION FROM THE VENUE AND EVENT.
Aggressive Behavior and/or Intimidation towards any person within the facility.

Here is a general layout of the schedule for the 2026 KB Sports National Championships
Please refer to these dates and times to plan your travel accordingly. Best advice is to arrive July 24 and depart late night July 26.

Description
KB Sports National tournaments offered to all levels of travel teams to compete for D1 National Championships , for the championship Rings. Teams will compete in excellent local facilities, against a range of teams and levels, in a well organized, family friendly environment for affordable prices for both teams and spectators.

CLEAR BAG POLICY WILL BE ENFORCED AT ALL GYMS AT ALL TIMES!!!!
KB Sports - RULES CHECK-IN 2 COACHES BANDS WILL BE PROVIDED DURING THE CHECK IN PROCESS. THESE BANDS MUST BE WORN THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT. IF BANDS ARE MISPLACED COACHES WILL HAVE TO PAY ENTRY FEE.
