We are excited to announce that the schedule for DY League – WA has been posted! Click the link at the bottom of the email to view the schedule. Below are a few more details for this weekend along with DYSports’ Code of Conduct. Please make sure to pass this info along to coaches and parents:
WE HAVE POSTED THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF GAMES. The remaining weeks will be posted in the next week or so. If you have any questions about the schedule, please reach out.
The gym will open 30 minutes prior to the first game of the day. No one will be allowed in until 30 minutes prior.

Home and Away: When looking at the schedule, bottom Team is Home (White) and Top Team Away (Dark)
Admission Fee for Fans: Card ONLY
- $10 for adults plus transaction fees (per day)
- $5 for seniors and kids 12 yrs old and younger plus transaction fees (per day)
- Two coaches per team get free admissions
Referees:
Please remind yourself, coaches, parents, and players to respect the referees throughout the weekend. Without our respected referees, this weekend’s League would not have been able to happen.

Rules are attached to this message. We have updated the rules to match current High School Rules so please review.
- 5th grade divisions and below are Man to Man Defense Only
- No Jewelry Allowed (Including Taped Earnings)
- Each team will need to provide a parent to help with score clock/sheet.

DYSports Code Of Conduct:
Respect All Participants: Treat players, coaches, referees, and fellow spectators with courtesy and respect. Remember, the primary purpose is to enjoy the game and support the young athletes.
Maintain Sportsmanship: Encourage fair play, honesty, and good sportsmanship at all times. Applaud skillful plays, regardless of the team.
Follow League Rules: Abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the League organizers. Any concerns or disputes should be addressed through the appropriate channels in a respectful manner.
Positive Sideline Behavior: Cheer for your team positively and avoid negative comments or gestures. Refrain from engaging in any form of disruptive behavior that may detract from the game.
Respect Facilities and Property: Keep the League venues clean and orderly. Respect the property of the facilities and organizers.
Follow Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols outlined by the League organizers. Your safety and the safety of others are of utmost importance.
No Harassment or Discrimination: Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying. Our League embraces diversity and inclusion, and we expect all participants to do the same.
Comply with Officials' Decisions: Accept the decisions of the referees and League officials, even if you may not agree. Disputes should be handled through the appropriate channels after the game.
Encourage Skill Development: Focus on the development of players' skills and positive learning experiences rather than solely on winning or losing.
Description
DYSports Events: A step above Rec/YMCA/Boys and Girls Club and a level below elite travel teams, this tournament is designed for boys' and girls' basketball teams developing their game. It's an excellent opportunity for feeder/school teams, B-level or below select/AAU teams, and Rec/YMCA/Boys and Girls Club teams looking to take the next step. Our focus is to provide the best environment for teams to compete against similarly talented opponents. General Information
- Ideal for: Mid-level Select/AAU teams and below, feeder teams, and Rec/YMCA/Boys & Girls Club teams looking to take the next step in competition.
- All teams are screened during the registration process to ensure optimal matchups.
- Records from previous tournaments are tracked to ensure competitive games.
- Each team will play 2 games per Saturday, with April 25th being a bye week.
- End of league tournament play on May 9.
- Includes 9-10 games per team.
- Discounts available for programs registering multiple teams.
- Registration closes the Sunday prior to the league beginning.
- Divisions may be combined if needed, though we'll do our best to avoid it.
Division Eligibility Rule:
Divisions at DYSports tournaments are determined by grade. If a team has one or more players in a grade older than the division, those players must meet the age requirement to maintain eligibility. Specifically, the player's birthday cannot be before May 1st of the current DYSports season.
Example: If you are a 4th-grade boys team and have a 10-year-old 5th grader on your roster, that athlete cannot turn 11 years old before May 1st during the September 1–August 31 DYSports season. Otherwise, the team will be ineligible to compete in that division.

Jr. NBA Member 
The Jr. NBA is the official youth basketball participation program of the NBA. The Jr. NBA includes a free, membership-based program for existing youth basketball leagues/organizations. The membership is to help encourage and support youth basketball participation at the grassroots level and improve the overall youth basketball experience for all participants. The Jr. NBA aims to develop a lifelong passion for the game of basketball in boys and girls ages 6-14 by teaching them the fundamentals of the sport while instilling core values including teamwork, respect and sportsmanship.
