Description

NSU Summer Heat 2026 returns July 3–5 at Six Park East (Durham) across six courts. The tournament features boys’ and girls’ divisions from U10 through U19, with a minimum of 4 games for all teams. Game formats are age-appropriate, with 14-minute stop-time halves for U10–U12 divisions and 16-minute stop-time halves for U13+ divisions. Designed as a premier summer kick-off event, NSU Summer Heat delivers a competitive, well-organized experience for programs preparing for the summer season. Entry fee: $850 per team Multi-team discounts are available for organizations registering three or more teams.

General Information

NSU Summer Heat 2026 will take place July 3–5, 2026, at Six Park East in Durham, utilizing all six courts at one of the GTA’s leading basketball facilities. Building on the momentum of recent years, Summer Heat has grown into a flagship early-summer tournament, attracting programs looking to evaluate rosters, build chemistry, and establish competitive rhythm heading into the heart of the summer season.

The tournament will host boys’ and girls’ divisions from U10 through U19, with every team guaranteed a minimum of four games. Game formats are tailored by age group to ensure developmentally appropriate competition:

U10–U12 divisions: 14-minute stop-time halves
U13+ divisions: 16-minute stop-time halves

This structure balances the pace of play, athlete development, and competitive integrity while allowing coaches meaningful rotations and in-game teaching opportunities.

Divisions will be formed with an emphasis on competitive balance and overall experience, creating an environment that supports both strong competition and positive tournament flow. NSU Summer Heat is known for its organization, communication, and respect for teams’ time, offering a professional event experience for athletes, coaches, and families alike.

To support club-wide participation, multi-team discounts are available for organizations registering three or more teams, making NSU Summer Heat an ideal launch point for programs entering multiple age groups.
