Father's Day Classic

Description

This Father’s Day Weekend, honor the dads who support every step of the journey and create lasting memories on and off the court. Bringing together talented teams from across the Southeastern part of North Carolina and surrounding areas, this event offers top-tier competition for every level—Developmental, Competitive, and Elite. Chase Your Dream, compete against the best, and take home exclusive awards in a weekend filled with energy, family, and championship-level basketball. Hot fresh foods will be served from the concessions as well as other local food trucks and vendors.

General Information

REGISTRATION:
Registration will remain open until the Monday prior to the tournament, unless divisions sell out earlier.
Tournament schedules will be released on the Wednesday before the event.
Multi-team discounts is available. 



RULES:
Two 14-minute halves.
Grade-level based divisions.
2-minute warm-up and 2-minute halftime.
Clocks and Scoresheets will be provided.
Each team receives:
Two (2) 30-second timeouts per half
Two (2) full timeouts per half.
Players are allowed six (6) personal fouls.
Team fouls:
1-and-1 bonus begins at 7 team fouls
Double bonus begins at 10 team fouls.
Three (3) coaches per team.
Players must compete in their own grade division unless they are playing up, within the same organization.
Teams should travel with report cards and completed rosters for verification if requested.
CYD is not responsible for forfeits, lost items, or stolen property.

ROSTERS:
All players must appear on the final submitted roster to participate in both pool and bracket play.
Rosters must include a minimum of 5 players.
Players listed on the official roster are eligible for all tournament games.
All rosters must be submitted online during registration.

AWARDS:

BALL SIZE:
Boys Grades 3–6: 28.5"
Boys Grades 7–12: 29.5"
Girls All Grades: 28.5"

COACHES:
Three (3) coaches per team.
All coaches must check in prior to their first scheduled game.
Coaches are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times.
Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in technical fouls, ejection, or removal from the tournament.
All protests must be submitted immediately to the Tournament Director before the next live ball.
Officials' judgment calls are final; only rule interpretations may be protested.
A $100 cash protest fee is required and will be refunded only if the protest is upheld.

SPECTATORS:
Spectators are expected to demonstrate positive sportsmanship and respect toward players, coaches, officials, and tournament staff at all times.
Abusive language, disruptive behavior, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in removal from the facility without refund.
Admission fee is $15 at the door, $20 weekend pass.
Children must be supervised at all times.
