The Santa Monica YMCA Basketball League is built to give young athletes more than just games. It’s about real development, confidence, and connection to the game. Our focus is on teaching the fundamentals the right way while creating a positive, structured, and competitive environment where players can grow each week.

Whether an athlete is new to basketball or continuing to build their skills, every practice and game is designed to improve decision-making, teamwork, and confidence both on and off the court. As a Jr. Lakers sponsored program, we emphasize sportsmanship, respect, and long-term development. This means helping players not just play the game, but understand it.

At its core, this league is about growth, competition, and creating an positive experience kids are excited to be part of every time they step in the gym.
