3rd Annual Iron 8 Fall League

Hello Coaches,

I wanted to send out an update regarding the game format and rules for the Iron 8 Fall League. Please review the following changes before your first game.

Game Format & Clock

Games will consist of two 18-minute running-clock halves.
The clock will stop according to normal NFHS regulation rules during the final 2 minutes of the second half, unless a team is leading by 15 points or more.
Halftime will be 2 minutes.
Each team will receive 3 full timeouts per game.
Timeouts will not carry over into overtime.
Overtime will be sudden death. The first team to score wins the game.
Fouls & Free Throws

All free throws will be shot using normal NFHS regulation free throw rules.
Teams will enter the double bonus beginning with the 5th team foul.
Team fouls will reset at the 9:00-minute mark of each half.
After the reset, the double bonus will again begin on the 5th team foul.
All other game situations and rules will follow current NFHS Basketball Rules.

Hello Coaches,

There have been a few slight modifications to the Iron 8 Fall League schedule due to team transportation needs and gym availability. All changes were entered last night, and we are good to go moving forward.

I will also be sending out the official league rules shortly, so please be on the lookout for those.

I’m also excited to announce that for next year’s Iron 8 Fall League, we plan to expand the field to 32 teams, featuring both an East Division and West Division. I’ll have more information and updates on the expansion as this fall season progresses.

The 3rd Annual Iron 8 Fall League schedule is officially posted and available for review.

Please take a few minutes to review your team’s complete schedule, including game dates, times, opponents, and court assignments.

We ask that all coaches double-check their schedules now so there are no surprises once league play begins. Please make sure your players, parents, and staff are also aware of your scheduled game times.

Also, this is a reminder that if you have not yet paid your registration fee, payment is due no later than Monday, August 31st.

If you notice any issues or have questions regarding your schedule, please reach out as soon as possible. We will do our best to address any concerns, but once league play begins, schedule changes may be difficult to accommodate.
