Blue Devil Train & Play Program

Description

Get ready for the 2026-27 basketball season with our Train & Play program, on Saturdays at Grosse Pointe South High School! This unique preseason program helps players develop the skills and instincts needed to succeed in game situations. Each session begins with skill-development stations that teach the fundamentals of offense and defense. Players will then immediately apply what they've learned through a progression of live competition: 1-on-1 → 2-on-2 → 3-on-3 → 4-on-4 → 5-on-5.

General Information

Throughout the program, players will learn:

Setting and using screens, Cutting without the basketball, Finishing at the rim
Ball movement and spacing, Team defense and help-side principles, Reading and reacting to game situations

Our goal is simple: teach players how to play, not just how to practice.

Whether you're preparing for school basketball, AAU, or simply looking to elevate your basketball IQ, Train & Play Saturdays is the perfect way to sharpen your skills before the winter season begins.

Location: Grosse Pointe South High School
Grades: Boys & Girls, 3rd-8th Grade
Cost: $175 per player (please pay on the first day of camp)
