The schedule for the D-1 Greyhounds Mother’s Day Classic is still scheduled to be played at the Phil Cline YMCA and Huntington Middle School beginning tomorrow at 8am and 9am respectively

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
To: All Coaches Player Parents and Fans

Regarding: Conduct
This memo is to inform you that Courts Event Management has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for fighting and unruly behavior.
We ask that you meet with your parents, athletes and fellow coaches and advise them that any act of aggression will be met with severe consequences for the respective team and club. Please know and understand that formal criminal charges will be pursued. In addition, the team will be suspended from any Courts Event Management event both state and national levels.
Please be advise the fans that if a fight breaks out, the tournament director or referee’s will clear the gym of all spectators if deemed necessary and no refunds will be given. Also, advise the parents they are prohibited from offensive or hostile language towards the coaches, athlete’s, referee’s, umpire’s or other parents before, during or after the games. Disorderly behavior will not be tolerated.
Coach it is your responsibility to maintain your teams sportsmanship. We suggest you print this memo and distribute it to your parents and athletes’. This includes state and national competition, fighting or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated
2022 Courts Event Management Tournament Rules
2022 Courts Event Management events will be played under the National Federation High School (NFHS) rules, except for the following changes:
Length of game: ALL games will be 2 - 20 min halves with a running clock except in the last 2 min of each half. If team is up by 20 clock will continue to run
Ball size: All girls will use 28.5; boys 6th grade and below will use 28.5, 7th grade and above will use men's ball
Time outs: Each team shall receive 4 Full time outs per game, NO CARRY OVER.
Overtime: The first overtime will be 3 minutes. Second Overtime will be 2 minute stop time. Third OT will be SUDDEN DEATH. Overtime will begin with a jump ball. One time out shall be granted to each team per overtime, NO CARRY OVER.
Pressing Rule: NO PRESSING if up by 30 points in second half.
Forfeit Rule: Game time is game time. There is no grace period! A team must have 5 players to start a game. In pool play, a forfeit is 15-0 for tiebreaker situations.
Warm up: A minimum of 3 minutes will be given for pre-game warm up. No game will start early except with mutual consent by both coaches.
Halftime: Halftime will be 3 minutes. The site director may reduce halftime
if the court is running behind schedule.
Coaches Box: Only the head coach may stand in the coach’s box. If no box is marked, the officials shall designate the area. A bench technical shall remove the right to use the coaches box (head coach must remain seated).
TIE BREAKERS:
1. First tie breaker is head to head results
2. 2nd tie breaker is total points total points allowed. After 1st place is established then head to head applies
3. 3rd tie breaker is points scored.
Host Responsibilities: Any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the facility or host staff should be directed to the Tournament Director Bryan Courts
Sportsmanship: We recognize the importance of sportsmanship in providing a competitive environment that is positive and fun! We keep a file on each team/coaching staff and each game official. Disciplinary Action will be taken for those who display poor behavior!
Protests: The judgment of the game officials is final. Protests will be accepted for eligibility issues and rules violations. All protests must be in writing and presented 30 min after the game is complete with $100.00 nonrefundable fee.
