Hello Everyone!

Basketball season is officially upon us! We are very excited for not only Winter League 2025 but a brand new event we are starting this year that might just become our favorite!!

On Dec. 13 & 14 we will be hosting our Santa's Helper Giveback Tournament. Each team will get 3 games in exchange for $250 worth of brand new kids toys, coats or shoes! All of these items will be donated to families and organizations in the community. This event will no undoubtedly bring some Christmas cheer to everyone participating in the event!!! We also want to remind everyone that deadline to register for our Winter League is coming up on December 1st. Please get your teams registered as soon as possible! It's shaping up to be a great league once again! Here is the registration link for Winter League:

Winter League 2025 presented by Nets on Fire & Utah Jazz Bantam League is on its way and registration is now OPEN!!! We expect another JAM PACKED league this year and are looking forward to it! Games will begin Jan. 4th and the championship tournament will wrap up March 1st. Each team will get 9 regular season games + at least one single elimination tournament game. Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The registration deadline is Dec. 1st so that we can have the schedule out by mid December. We are asking that teams only register for ONE DIVISION this year due to the amount of teams we will have participating. We will not allow teams to participate in two divisions to help alleviate the schedule. If you are looking for extra games there will be two tournaments in December at Nets on Fire (Dec. 5-7 & Dec. 13-14). Happy Monday! Nets on Fire is excited to have the Summer Lift Off at our facility July 25th-27th. This event will be organized and ran by Lift Off Hoops. Please double check schedules and brackets! We do have games at Snow Canyon Middle school today so make sure you pay attention to what location and court you are playing at. We will try to update scores and brackets hourly. Paper brackets are also posted at Nets on Fire.

If your team wins a championship game please head to the Nets on Fire backdrop on Court 1 to get a team picture with the trophy.

Tournament week kicks off tonight. Please use app and website to see schedule and navigate brackets. We will also have brackets posted at Nets on Fire.

- Rules will be the same a regular season

- PLAYERS CANNOT PLAY ON MULTIPLE TEAMS IN SAME DIVISION!!! YOUR TEAM WILL FORFEIT IF IT HAPPENS. PLAYERS CANNOT JOIN A NEW TEAM IN SAME DIVISION ONCE THEY LOSE. THIS ALSO MEANS A PLAYER CANNOT PLAY IN CHAMPIONSHIP AND CONSOLATION BRACKET IN SAME GRADE.
(Example: A 7th grade player cannot lose in consolation and then go play in 7th grade championship or other way around. However a player can still play in 6th grade bracket and a 7th if they have been playing with both teams all season long)

Please reach out if there is any confusion or questions regarding this. We are at the point where the vast majority of players should be on one team, if they win the keep playing, if they lose they are done.

-Tournament games always come with a little extra intensity and energy. Please keep everything appropriate and sportsmanlike in your interactions with players, officials, scorekeepers and fans. Make sure the example and impressions you leave are the right ones.

We are pumped for an exciting week! Please make sure we get a team picture of your team if you end up winning it all! We will have medals and a trophy to take pictures with!

Everyone please pump the breaks for just a minute. We are still finalizing all the brackets and the schedule for next week. Please check first thing tomorrow morning for final.

Please stop texting/emailing with requests and accommodations. Everybody has stuff going on, we are all going to have to do our best to make it work.

Hello everyone!

This Saturday will be the final week of the regular season. As always please double check the schedule. We don't anticipate any changes between now and then.

You will notice on the Exposure App & online schedule that brackets have been posted and the schedule for next week has be populated. THIS IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS! Please don't pay attention to days and times quite yet as there are still some moving parts.

As teams finish up Saturday they will be placed in their bracket. We will send out a message letting everyone know when the brackets are final.

We will be playing 120 games next week, which is close to double what we normally play in a week. We will have games Monday-Saturday. We will be using Snow Canyon Middle School for games on Friday.

Remember for large divisions (12+) we will be doing a championship and consolation bracket. Some brackets are quite small and can be played in one day. There is potential for a team to play 3 games in a day.

Some brackets are in the works but we still have the majority of our divisions finishing up regular season play this week. Looks like we will be pumping out just under 120 games next week for the tournament. It's going to be an amazing way to finish up Winter League 2024.

Last reminder that if you are playing in two divsions you can only play in one for the tournament!

Hello Everyone!

Hard to believe we only have two weekends left in our regular season! PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK GAME TIMES FOR TOMRROW! A couple game times were adjusted due to high school playoff games and the All- Star Hoops tournament happening tomorrow.

- As we get closer to creating the brackets for the tournament PLEASE double check your record and scores to make sure they are correct. We love our scorekeepers but sometimes the final scores get mixed up. We want to make sure everyone is seeded correctly. Email kaseywinters@netsonfire.org for anything that needs to be fixed or changed.

-We will start creating brackets as early as Monday for the divisions that are finished with the regular season.

-Remember the tournament will be Monday, Feb. 26th - Saturday, March 2nd. It will be a week full of games. We will try to pump out as many early round games as we can early in the week and then finish up Friday and Saturday.

WE ARE AWARE THAT THE 4A STATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT WILL BE TAKING PLACE FEB. 26TH - FEB. 28TH. WE WILL TRY TO AVOID AS MANY CONFLICTS AS WE CAN BUT WE DON'T HAVE MUCH FLEXIBILITY WITH THE AMOUNT OF GAMES THAT NEED TO BE PLAYED BY MARCH 2ND.


IF YOU ARE OPTING OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT PLEASE LET KASEY KNOW BY MONDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH. EMAIL OR TEXT IS BEST WAY TO COMMUNICATE THAT. ALSO A REMINDER THAT TEAMS IN MULTIPLE DIVISIONS CAN ONLY PLAY IN ONE BRACKET FOR THE TOURNAMENT.

We hope everyone is ready for their games tomorrow! As always please DOUBLE CHECK the schedule tonight! The Exposure App was recently updated and to be honest we like the older version better. This new version will take some time to get used to.

Please continue to preach sportsmanship with your teams. We rely heavily on the coach of each team to manage their team and keep them playing the right way. Please handle any situations you see before they become a serious problem.

We are constantly reminding our officials to do their best. We appreciate the positive interactions the coaches have with them. Please keep it that way, it has actually been really refreshing as we have had minimal issues with officials, parents, coaches and players (fingers crossed it stays that way)!

Hello Everyone!

Just a weekly reminder to check the schedule each week. We try to avoid changes but happen from time to time. Most of the them are mistakes that happened when we first made the schedule and we are now just catching them.

TOURNAMENT
As we approach the end of the regular season we start getting a lot of questions about the end of season tournament. I'll try to answer as many of them as I can in this email. If you still have questions feel free to contact Kasey Winters.

Our last day of regular season play is Saturday, February 24th. Tournament play begins Monday, February 26th and will end Saturday, March 2nd. As teams finish up regular season play we will create brackets as fast as we can. Some divisions will finish before 2/24, those brackets will be released earlier. We will have all brackets out by the morning of Sunday, February 25th. Remember tournament play for some teams will begin on Monday, February 26th.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL TEAMS (LOCAL & OUT OF TOWN) HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PLAY MID WEEK GAMES.

Some of our smaller divisions may be able to play out their bracket in one or two evenings but our larger brackets will take several days and may require multiple games on the same day.

For our larger brackets (16+ teams) we will do a championship bracket and a consolation bracket based on regular season records. We also reserve the right to do multiple brackets in a division that has fewer than 16 teams where there is a noticeable disparity in the level of competition.

We will try to play all games at Nets on Fire but there is a chance we may need to use some local schools due to the amount of games that need to be played during tournament week.

If you choose not to participate in the tournament please let Kasey Winters know ASAP (kaseywinters@netsonfire.org). We hope everyone participates but understand if you choose to opt-out.

We have a few teams playing in multiple divisions. Please remember you can only play in one bracket. Please tell Kasey Winters which bracket you would like to play in.

Regular season play has been remarkable so far!!! We expect some amazing finishes to the regular season and also expect some excitment as we play out our championship tournaments.

Another Saturday is upon us! Please double check the schedule for game times and court assignments!!! A few minor adjustments have been made to game times over the past few weeks.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE TOP TEAM ON LISTED ON THE SCHEDULE ARE THE GUESTS AND SHOULD BE IN THEIR DARK UNIFORMS. THE BOTTOM TEAM WILL BE THE HOME TEAM AND SHOULD BE IN LIGHT COLORED UNIFORMS.

We have Bryson Kelsch doing a weekly highlight film for Nets on Fire, we will post it on our Instagram every week. If there are any teams or individuals that would like him to do a film for your team or any of your players you can reach him on Instagram at @bryson_kelsch

Also, we already have quite the collection of water bottles, jackets and sweatshirts. Everything we have collected so far will be set up on tables outside the front door. If something is your please take it back home with you.

THE SINGLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENTS WILL BE HELD THE WEEK OF FEB 26th - MARCH 2ND. MORE INFORMATION WILL BE OUT SOON REGARDING THE TOURNAMENTS.

Just a quick reminder to double check the schedules before your games tonight or Saturday!

Also wanted to let everyone know that we will be having a certified athletic trainer at the facility on Saturdays. If there are any injuries please use the trainer to assess the situation and provide care, especially in serious situations. They will be availble to provide bandaids, ice and can also tape ankles if needed. Please bring your own tape and prewrap if you need an ankle or anything else taped. They will be located in the back corner of court 2.

If you happen to see a score posted wrong please text 435-668-4649 with the correct score and we will get it fixed.

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a Happy New Year! This is just a reminder to double check the schedule!!! We have made a few adjustments over the break so please make sure you keep your team and parents updated with any changes to days or times. The Exposure Events app and website should both be current with the most recent changes!

The facility has been too quiet over the break, we are looking forward to starting back up! Games will resume on Thursday, January 4th and we will have another full Saturday on January 6th!

Winter League is off to a fantastic start, thank you! We are looking forward to our first Saturday full of games! We will have games from 8 am til 10 pm!!! ALL 4 COURTS ALL DAY! Should be a great day!

Here are just a few updates and reminders, they are very important so please read and pass along to your teams!

1- STARTING TONIGHT -ALL WEEKDAY GAMES WILL START AT 6:15, 7:15 or 8:15! We need to give ourselves a longer buffer between our afternoon training sessions and the start of league games. Our trainings session go until 6:00 pm. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN 6 PM - YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WARMUP OR ACCESS COURTS. Trainings will conclude immediately at 6:00 pm and 15 minutes will be given to the teams to warm up. Please respect our trainers and athletes by staying off the courts until 6 pm. The times on the schedule have already changed to 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 for Monday, Tuesday and Thursday games.

2- PLEASE CHECK THE SCHEDULE EACH WEEK FOR ANY ADJUSTMENTS. PLEASE PASS CHANGES ON TO YOUR TEAM!

3- Please clean up bench areas after each game! This helps us minimize spills and the amount of trash that piles up. It also helps decrease the amount of water bottles, jackets, sweatshirts and jerseys that are left behind each week!

4- 8TH GRADE BOYS SILVER DIVISION- There is an all girls teams in your division, Ignited. They are a club team and will compete at a high level.

5- PLEASE CONTINUE TO LEAD THE WAY IN DEMONSTRATING GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP AND RESPECT TOWARDS OFFICIALS, SCOREKEEPERS, OPPOSING TEAMS AND FANS!!! THE COACHES HAVE A HUGE IMPACT ON HOW THE PLAYERS AND FANS REACT THROUGHOUT THE GAME. IF THERE IS A SERIOUS ISSUE PLEASE FIND A NETS ON FIRE STAFF MEMBER.

Hello Everyone!

We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend with your family and friends. Thank you for being patient as we created the schedule for Winter League 2024. This year is definitely pushing our limits with almost 150 teams registered. We are grateful to be able to provide this league to the teams in Southern Utah and surrounding areas.

A couple things about the schedule:

1- WE ARE AT CAPACITY! We have over 650 regular season games. WE CANNOT CUSTOMIZE OR TAKE REQUESTS TO CHANGE DATES, TIMES, COURTS, ETC.

2- You are not the exception!! Unless it is a major error on our part please refer back to #1

3- The easiest way to access the schedule is through the Exposure App (search Winter League 2024), it can also be accessed through the link below. Please share with other coaches, players and parents.

4- PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE SCHEDULE OFTEN!!! We don't expect many changes but there may be a few before the first games and from week to week.

5- Each team should have 9 regular season games, a few lucky teams may have ended up with 10.

6- Please email kaseywinters@netsonfire.org with any questions!

A seperate email will be sent out early next week with rules, player/parent guidelines and other league information!
