Boys Summer Showdown HDYA

The brackets are now finalized and live! Please check to verify your time and court. Remember the JV (16U) and Varsity (18U) divisions have two-game minimum brackets so if you lose your first game, there is a consolation game scheduled shortly after. The Youth (12U) and MS (14U) are single elimination brackets (play until you lose). If you have any questions, let me know. Otherwise, good luck!

Tomorrow's brackets will be updated as soon as possible throughout today. The finalized brackets will be ready by tonight at 8:30pm. Do not go off of your standings/seeding as some teams ahead or below you may have opted out of the tournament. If you have any questions, let me know (zsitler@afbe.org).

Courts 1 & 2: Exeter Township Senior High (201 E 37th St, Reading, PA 19606)
Court 3: Exeter Township Junior High (151 E 39th St, Reading, PA 19606)
Both gyms are right next to one another.

The venues have been CHANGED to a closer a more convenient placement. The courts will now be as followed:
Court 1 - Exeter Township High School Main Gym
Court 2 - Exeter Township High School Aux Gym
Court 3 - Exeter Township Junior High School

The two buildings are now right next to one another. Because of the venue change and many schedule changes these past two days, PLEASE look at your schedule one more time to verify your times and locations. The app and our website are updated. As a reminder, every team plays Sunday (unless your team opted out). Youth (12U) and Middle School (14U) divisions are guaranteed one game in the bracket play while the Junior Varsity (16U) and Varsity (18U) are guaranteed 2 games.

Good Afternoon Coaches,

The schedule is now live on our app: AFBE and will be linked to our website shortly. If there is an issue with the schedule, please let me know by emailing me at zsitler@afbe.org. The rules are attached so please review before the tournament. Remember that each team needs a representative to work the clock or keep the book. That representative and two coaches get in for free for the tournament and will be given a wristband. All other spectators must pay a $10 entry fee for adults or $5 for students and seniors. A Thursday weekend pass is available for $30 for an adult or $15 for a student or senior. Friday’s weekend pass is $25 for an adult or $10 for a student or senior. All tickets sales are cash only.

Please note that due to delayed construction, Exeter High School gyms are unavailable. We will be using Reiffton Elementary (Court 1), Exeter Junior High School (Court 2), and Owatin Elementary (Court 3). All are full size gyms with bleachers for teams/spectators. Reiffton and the Junior High are right next to each other. Owatin is about a 10-drive so please plan accordingly and be sure to verify which court your team plays on.

Remember that Thursday through Saturday are all pool play games. After those games, you will be seeded into Sunday’s tournament (unless your team opted out). The Youth, Middle School, and Varsity brackets are one game minimums but the Junior Varsity division is a two game minimum bracket so look for consolation games in that division. Due to teams opting out, the seeding may not be correct early on in the tournament so these brackets will change throughout the weekend. All teams will play on Sunday unless you opted out.
