Make it Rain 8 Girls Basketball Exposure Tournament
Messages
We have made the decision to cancel the Elite 850 Showcase May 16-18th due to low team turnout. We do not have enough committed teams to make this a quality tournament, so we have decided it is best to cancel and focus our efforts on the Hoop Like A Girl Finale in July.
FOR JULY, our HOOP LIKE A GIRL FINALE - July 18-20th, we already have teams in every division, so we expect to sell that tournament out. Please register your teams for that event early and take advantage of our exclusive $50 OFF Coupon: HOOP_FLYER - this is good until June 30th when you register AND pay on Exposure.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope you will commit to coming July 18-20th to our Hoop Like A Girl Finale.
Register here for the HOOP LIKE A GIRL FINALE - our July End of Summer NCAA Certified Event!
Thank you to all of the teams that competed in the 8th Annual Make it Rain Girls Basketball Tournament this weekend!
We hope you have all made it home safe by now!
We appreciate the loyalty of our returning teams as well as all of the new faces that played with us the first time this weekend!!
We started this tournament series for a reason -- the goal being to improve girls basketball in this area and bring more exposure and recruiting opportunities to the girls teams competing in our tournament! We did have 3 college coaches on site for the tournament and we are thankful that they came to check out the talent!
We did NOT have Baller Tv cameras because they did not get them shipped in time. I received one box of tri-pods on Friday night and despite my efforts to get Baller TV to get us the equipment early, they emailed me late Friday afternoon to apologize and inform me they would not get our equipment. I asked Baller TV to put a disclaimer on their site and they stated that they did that.
There are some things that did not go as well as we would have liked this weekend and we have already discussed ways to improve them for the next tournament in this series on May 16-18th.
We also received some very positive comments from teams as well and I appreciate those as well! SR Elite has worked very hard in advance of and during the tournament to try to make it a great event!
Thank you to our many volunteer parents that stepped up to make some great food, work the gate, pick up trash or whatever was necessary to make this event enjoyable for everyone!
Finally, CONGRATULATIONS to the teams that made it to the FINAL Games in each division! Our parents took pictures and they are included in the video attached below!
If you would like to come back, we'd love to have you at our ELITE 850 SHOWCASE in MAY and at our Hoop Like A Girl Finale in JULY.
Check them out and register here:
Good morning! A couple of things this morning:
IF you are playing at Pensacola State College - Hartsell Arena, there is a community festival in the front parking lot, so teams should park in the lot that is to the left of the building. Come in the main entrance toward the entrance, go left and there is a parking lot there. Enter at the front of the building.
Check-in is at UWF ONLY - 4-8th grade checkin starts at 7am on TODAY -
IF your team does not have National Sports ID:
1. you must check in all players with report cards and birth certificates in hand - National Sports ID teams must JOIN the tournament - Click HERE
2. ARRIVE 1 HOUR before your first game! Check-in takes time with report cards and birth certificates, so please be patient! Our tournament includes only teams that are VERFIED for GRADE AND AGE
3. The documents section on the Exposure app has rules sheet, maps and other details about the tournament HERE
4. Our officials are hand picked and we pay them well. Our rules are clearly written and the officials do not change them. If there is a major problem, our lead offficial, Robert Jackson and I will work with the head coach/team admin IN PERSON to come up with a solution. COACHES AND FANS are expected to set the examples for their children - good sportsmanship is expected and will be enforced. Threats of violence will be dealt with quickly by ejection with no refund. Please don't put us in this position.
5. If a team is LATE, they will be charged 1 point for every minute up to 15 -- and the game will be a forfeit at that time. This is HOW we ensure our games are always on time. We will not start early, but please plan for traffic and other delays.
6. Gate fees today are $40 for 2 day pass or $25 daily - this applies to ages 13 and above, 12 and under are no charge - we will accept cash, credit cards, cashapp and Venmo at the gate.
7. We will have a hospitality room for coaches (specific arm bands), officials and tournament volunteers. Please understand that all food must be consumed IN the hospitality room, no food is allowed out in the gym area. This room is for Coaches, Officials and Volunteers from the Santa Rosa Elite Basketball organization only.
8. All bench areas are ONLY for players on the roster and coaches wearing a MAKE IT RAIN VIP ARMBAND. Parents and fans are not allowed in the bench area
9. We take pride in the sportsmanship and great conduct of our many loyal teams! UWF has complemented Make it Rain because of this! I am certain this year will be no different but please understand that IF there is unsportsmanlike or overly aggressive conduct, UWF police will eject the offender(s) from the tournament with no refund.
If you enjoy our tournament and want to come again this year, we are honored to bring you two more opportunities -- you can register here and we will provide you with a generous returning team discount! Click here for details on the Hoop Like A Girl Tournament Series!
Attn:: Here are some important details for all teams in Make it Rain 8, April 25-27!
**We over sold and needed to add an additional facility -- Pensacola State College is just a few minutes drive from UWF and is an excellent facility. We will have games at PSC on Saturday and Sunday. 5. We will not put your team on the schedule without payment and we will not refund teams after the schedule is released and I cannot put your team on the schedule

Pls Respond to this survey: Hoop Like A Girl Tournament Series Survey
Hello! UWF has offered SR Elite additional dates to host Girls Basketball tournaments this year! Before I commit to this, I need to understand what our loyal teams and volunteer parents think about this expansion. Putting on a quality tournament like Make it Rain has been for the last 8 years takes a LOT of time investment, so your responses will help me make this decision!
Please try to respond to this survey by April 19th and thank you, in advance!! We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
- Tim Michael - Tournament Director
Good afternoon coaches, players and fans! I'm happy to report that Make it Rain 8 is now NCAA Certified and is listed on the NCAA BBCS Website!
Thank you for your patience and for your loyalty! I finished all of the requirements and this event is now available for you to add your rosters and opt into the tournament on the NCAA BBCS System! Search for "Make it Rain" on the NCAA BBCS website.
Good evening! All brackets are correct and on Exposure!
Please be careful where you park tomorrow, do NOT park in the circle at the top of the hill - UWF Police will have your vehicle towed.
Tomorrow's games will be very competitive, please show good sportsmanship and respect for the game, your opponent and the officials! Let's end the weekend on a good note!
Teams in the final game of each Championship bracket - Platinum and Gold Champions and Runner Up will receive Make it Rain RINGS - Pictures will be upstairs where Team Check In was.
Thank you again for your loyalty and good night!
Teams::: Parking in a spot that is clearly marked as handicap (without a visible placard) or on a spot with a red curb (like in the circle) will get you a ticket. I cannot help you with that, so please park in a correct spot!

Several people have asked - the DOCUMENTS section of Exposure has maps, rules, check in procedured and other important information about the tournament.
The address to PSC doesn't take you directly to the Gym. Like many college campuses, the facilities don't have their own address.
Attached is a map that shows where the PSC - Hartsell Arena gym is located - College Blvd is less than a mile long - enter College Blvd from 12th avenue or from 9th Avenue -- the gym is shown on the map - Hartsell Arena.
Coaches and parents:
Gate fees are an expensive part of travel basketball. These fees pay for the venue and part of the officials cost, in addition to insurance costs and everything else that goes into putting together a tournament. We have done all we can to keep this tournament affordable, but please know that noone is getting rich here. All proceeds for this tournament go toward our club expenses for the year and helps us to sponsor players who otherwise would not be able to participate in travel sports.
Our officials are hand picked by Mr. Robert Jackson. He has been my officials coordinator from day one and has brought officials who care about the quality of competition and quality of the game. These officials are human and will make mistakes, but they are professionals. Please treat them with respect and good sportsmanship at all times.
Make it Rain Gate fees are:
$55 for Friday to Sunday (3 day)
$40 for Saturday to Sunday (2 day only available to purchase on Saturday)
$25 per day
Children 12 and under are no charge
We will accept Cash, Cashapp, Venmo or Credit Cart AT THE GATE - no pre-purchase available at this time.
Please arrive to your games EARLY - 45 minutes is plenty of time unless you have not checked in. If you have never been to UWF, maybe add a few minutes to find your way to the gym.
TEAM CHECK IN WILL BE UPSTAIRS - 1 HOUR PRIOR to your first game -- IF you are NATIONAL SPORTS ID or NCAA CERTIFIED, only coaches need to check in. Players need to be IN UNIFORM before they go through the gate.
We will not start games early -- so don't worry about that, but we also will not start late. Please get your players to arrive 1 hour prior to their first game, unless you are the first game of the day. In that case, the gates open at 7:30AM, so arrive according to that expectation.
I am excited to see all of you tomorrow and Saturday! Please travel safe and we will see you at UWF!!
If you have a good time and enjoy the tournament, please consider coming back for the next two tournaments we are hosting in this series!
