Basketball season is quickly approaching at The Root! We are excited to offer some great new events this year, along with updated versions of our past favorites.

Below, you’ll find all of our tournament and league dates and information for school-team basketball.

We are especially proud to announce THE TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS—a brand-new event for boys and girls in grades 2–6. This is an INVITE-ONLY tournament. The only way to participate is by earning a BID, which can be won through qualifier tournaments and leagues held throughout the season at The Root. (www.rootgallia.com for more info)

We’re also excited to unveil our custom championship rings, which will be awarded to both champions and runners-up at all basketball events this season.

All businesses across from The Root—Bubbles, Great American Cookies, Fuel Counter, and Early Bird—are open today, and you are permitted to bring their products inside The Root.

We’re excited to host your team at The Root for our upcoming School Team Basketball Tournament! Please review the important details below and share them with your players, parents, and spectators:
🏀 Gate Fees & Entry
•Ages 12 & up: $10
•Ages 6-11: $5
•Under 6: Free
•Members: Free entry
•Coaches: The head coach and one assistant coach will receive free entry but must sign in at the gate.

📖 Game Requirements
•The home team is responsible for providing a bookkeeper for each game.
•Scoresheets will be provided—no need to bring a book.
🍿 Concessions Available
We’ll have bottled drinks, Bill’s Lemonade, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, candy, and more!
🚫 Outside Food, Drinks & Seating
•No outside food or drinks allowed, except for items purchased from Sprout Commons across the street.
•Food and drinks from Early Bird Coffee Shop, Bubbles Tea & Juice Co., Great American Cookies, and Fuel Counter are permitted.
•No outside coolers or chairs allowed—we have plenty of seating available.
