Attention Coaches and Directors,

Big Leaf Basketball is excited to announce that our league and tournament information is now live!

Here's what your can expect this season:

We've found ways to make participation more affordable for our committed, loyal teams and programs.

More host locations added to help limit travel for all programs.

New programs joining in, giving us even more flexibility to create great matchups while keeping things regional.

We'll be reaching out over the next two weeks to confirm intentions and answer any questions.

The Parma End of Winter Slam Event is being hosted this upcoming Saturday. It is free of charge. Only cost is admission for spectators. It is a 2 game guarantee. If interested contact/text Luke Toth (216) 551-0950 to secure a spot!

AS WE HEAD INTO LEAGUE TOURNAMENT PLAY. PLEASE REMEMBER:

1. CHECK YOUR SCHEDULE AND CHECK YOUR BRACKET. YOUR TEAM MAY OR MAY NOT PLAY A SECOND GAME EACH DAY BASED ON THE OUTCOME OF YOUR FIRST GAME OF THE DAY. THE SECOND GAME WILL NOT BE POSTED ON YOUR TEAM SCHEDULE PAGE UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST GAME IS OVER. SO REVIEW YOUR BRACKETS.

2. SOME TEAMS HAVE LEAGUE GAMES THIS WEEKEND AS WELL.

3. ALL TEAMS WILL PLAY A MINIMUM OF 13 GAMES. IF YOUR TEAM HAS REACHED 13 GAMES AFTER THIS WEEKEND AND YOU HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE LEAGUE TOURNAMENT...YOUR SEASON WILL BE OVER. A HANDFUL OF TEAMS ARE SHORT GAMES DUE TO CANCELLATIONS, SCHEDULE CONFLICTS, ETC. WE WILL WORK TO GET EVERYONE SCHEDULED 13 GAMES.

4. THERE ARE GAMES ON THE BRACKETS WITH NO DATE/TIME. THOSE GAMES ARE TO BE PLAYED NEXT WEEKEND (JANUARY 25TH-26TH). THOSE TIMES WILL BE POSTED BEFORE MONDAY MORNING OF NEXT WEEK.

5. ANY TEAMS WHO HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE LEAGUE TOURNAMENT WILL BE SCHEDULED CONSOLATION OR LEAGUE GAMES TO GET TO YOUR 13 GAME GUARANTEE.

6. WE WILL HAVE GAMES ON JANUARY 25TH AND 26TH OF NEXT WEEKEND. ALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES WILL BE ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 26TH.

7. SCHEDULE SETUP- WHEN YOU PLAY 2 GAMES IN A DAY. OUR PREFERENCE IS TO ALWAYS GIVE TEAMS 1 GAME OFF BETWEEN GAMES WHEN YOU PLAY 2 GAMES IN 1 DAY. THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK LOGISTICALLY. SOMETIMES TEAMS PLAY BACK TO BACK...SOMETIMES TEAMS HAVE 1 GAME OFF IN BETWEEN AND THE MAXIMUM A TEAM HAS OFF IS 2 GAMES. WE PREFER NOT TO DO 2 GAMES OFF BUT AGAIN SOMETIMES LOGISTICALLY IT'S THE ONLY OPTION...ESPECIALLY IN BRACET PLAY WHEN GAMES ARE TIED TOGETHER. REMEMBER...WE ALWAYS DO THE BEST WE CAN. WE KNOW SOME TEAMS PREFER A GAME OFF IN BETWEEN AND SOME TEAMS PREFER TO PLAY BACK TO BACK. WE DO OUR BEST!

West G. is unavailable to host games this weekend on 1/18. We have had to change/move games to Cardinal High School that day. Times have changed as well. Please double check your schedule for updates on the app. If you were to play at West G. or Cardinal High School on 1/18..please check for those updates!

The schedule for bracket play on January 19th is now posted. We are using our larger facilites only on January 19th (Spire, Hiram College and Garfield Hts. HS). The schedule is the schedule. Tournament play schedule is set. We do the best we can putting it all together. It is not an easy task! Please do not ask to move games. Check out the schedule on the app and plan accordingly.

The brackets for the League Tournament have been posted. The games that are to be played on 1/18 have been posted. The remaining bracket games to be played on the first weekend of the League Tournament for 1/19 will be posted in the next 24 hours. After the completion of all games on 1/19. The schedule will be completed and posted with times/locations for remaining bracket games on 1/20 for the final week of our season (January 24th-26th). Reminder..we still will have normal league games as well on these weekends. Our league is a 13 game guarantee. So between bracket games and league games we will get each team to a minimum of 13 games by the end of the season on January 26th. Don't forget to check consolation games on bracket as well. In some cases winners/losers of games play on the same day after their first game!

We will have the League Tournament schedule and brackets out by the end of the week. The league tournament will take place January 17,18,19,24,25,26. Stay tuned!

Cleveland Hts. Community Center games have been pushed to Twinsburg High School on 1/12. The schedule has been updated at Twinsburg High School for all teams playing on 1/12. Please check it out on the app!

Cleveland Hts. notified us today that they are unable to host games this weekend on 12/22...so we had to shuffle the schedule to move games. Please check your schedule for any updates. The schedules at Twinsburg and Cardinal have changed. Also...some of the teams that weren't moved from Cleveland Hts. will now be off this weekend. Again...please check your schedule for 12/22 on the app/website!

All games at James A. Garfield (Garrettsville) on 12/15 need to be rescheduled/moved due to a schedule conflict at the facility. Teams who were to play there have had their schedules updated. We will now have some games at Cardinal High School. Check app for updates!

The entrance today is a smaller door located near the Martin Fieldhouse end of the building near the parking lot. A picture of the entrance is attached!

Spectators need to enter the top (main entrance at the Coleman Sports Center to enter Martin Fieldhouse. It is suggested that you bring your own chairs. There is very limited provided seating. There will be a limited amount of lower level seating for handicapped or those in need. All other spectators will sit in the upper level above the Fieldhouse.

All games tomorrow at Spire have been moved back 3 hours to a 12:00 start due to the weather! The app has been updated...please check your updated schedule! If there any other changes at Spire tomorrow..we will send a message out no later than 9:30 AM.

Good luck to all teams starting league play this weekend! Please review rules and updated schedules on the app for the 1st two league play weekends. Reminder... league play starts 11/24 and runs through 1/26. The only OFF weekend for league play is 12/28-12/29. We will be running our Reindeer Games event that weekend. Coaches we suggest you have your parents/fans "follow" your team on the Big Leaf app to stay up to date! We will continue to post the schedule for the remainder of the league season. Stay tuned!
