April Fools Day Schedule

Coaches,

After fighting with Fedex for 4 days, being told "they will be there tomorrow" multiple times and even doing an overnight duplicate shipment on Friday...I have been notified that the awards will not be in until Monday or Tuesday. The awards ship out of Texas to Memphis and then to Knoxville and due to the extreme weather that happened to the West TN area at the end of last week, packages coming from that area have been significantly delayed.I am very sorry this has happened but I do have a back up plan. I will be getting shipping addresses from the coaches of all 1st and 2nd teams and as soon as I receive the awards, I will be shipping them out to you all. Again I am very sorry but unfortunately the weather is out of our control. Looking forward to another Championship Sunday with great basketball plaed. We have already had some close games, a couple of OTs and 1 sudden death OT game that was great the whole way through.

Coach lists and Rosters are due by 3pm today.

Each team gets 3 coach wrist bands. (Head Coach, Assit Coach, Scorekeeper)
If your coach is not sent in and listed they will not be given a coachs wrist band.
Each coach must have their wrist band on to be allowed in.

Please text your roster to 865-304-8291 by 3pm today. If you have already texted me yout roster and included your coaches on the roster, thank you.

Team Fee Payment can be made to the gate befor eyour first game. You can bring cash or check made out to "Tristar Sports". You can also send payment through Venmo to @jlfrye code is 8291. If you choose this option please put "Team Name - April Fools Tournament" as the description.

15 yrs old and younger are free.
WRIST BANDS MUST BE WORN TO BE HONORED.
This has been abused the past 2 tournaments so we are having to enforce this policy. No one will be admitted without one a wrist band on.

Please consider visiting the food trucks that will be located at some of the gyms throughout the weekend!

ALL PLAYGROUNDS ARE CLOSED AND NOT TO BE USED

Respectful of the school property, as they are ALLOWING us to use their facility!

Coaches are expected to read the rules and follow them.
Officials and Gym Administrators have the final say and judgment on deicisions and rule questions and will make them with the best intrest of the tournament in mind.

Championship games
We want to promote the positive at our events. One player from each team that places in 1st or 2nd in each division will receive a MVP Ring. This player will be selected by the opposing coach. (I.E. 1st place team coach picks 2nds place team's MVP and vice versa). This award can be based on skill or talent but also sportsmanship. This can serve as a reminder for your players that not just you and their parents are watching and the way they play and act on the court is noticed by everyone. The opposing coach will pick the MVP so no coach can be accused of biased or favoritism. I understand games can get heated but after the championship game is over, find the opposing coach and tell him or her which player is their MVP. The hand shake line at the end of the game is a perfect time to do this.

Awards
Awards will be handed out by the Gym Administrator after each Championship Game.
1st Place will receive a Ring
2nd Place will receive a Medal
MVP will receive a Ring

Coach Oath and Conduct
This was on the waiver you signed and in the rules but I am reminding you here also. You set the standard for how your team carries themselves on and off the court. Games can and will get heated...we want strong competitive games!
Be the example for your team and your team parents and fans.

We have teams from all over east TN and 1 travelling from Georgia!

Addreses of gyms, cost of entry, payment options for team fees and more gameday info will be sent later this evening.

Schedule is up ***except for 7th boys and 8th boys***.

7th and 8th boys your games will be on saturday and sunday and will all start after 1pm. I am waiting on 2 teams and then I will post your update.

No requests or changes will be made after 9pm tonight.

There will be a notificaiton sent later tonight once the scheudle is Final.

Each Coach is required to turn in a signed waiver and roster on file. As well as have all grade elegibility documentation on site to proivde if requested to. Best option for this is to print these out, fill out and sign and text a picture to 865-304-8291 as soon as possible. Then you can bring your hard copy to the gate before your first game.

Sorry for the dealy in the schedule being released. A few teams hopped out last minute and I am trying to get everything peiced back together. I will have something out by 5pm at the latest but hopefully much sooner.

I will also be sending tournament rules, a copy of the waiver and roster for each coach to fill out and sign and send back in.
