General Information

Since 1954, high school basketball squads have converged on Southwest Missouri to face off in the Neosho Holiday Classic. The tournament features some of the top teams from Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Texas, and has proven to be the region’s premier showcase for competitive high school basketball. Over the years, the tournament has provided thrilling match-ups, amazing upsets, nationally ranked teams, Division I college players and NBA talent. Branco, tournament sponsor since 1998, is proud to bring another year of excellent high school basketball to Neosho, MO.

The tournament has survived for many decades due to the dedication of the tournament staff, unwavering community support, and the quality of play provided by talented local, regional and national teams. The high caliber of play seen at the Neosho Holiday Classic never ceases to amaze. Many scouts find their way to Neosho to observe and evaluate that talent.

Teams that have recently journeyed to Neosho for the Holiday Classic are: Sunrise Christian (Wichita); Fort Bend Travis (Houston); Central Park Christian (Birmingham); South Atlanta; Cypress Christian (Houston); Kansas City Ruskin; Morrilton, AR; San Diego High; Marietta, GA; Thunderbird (Phoenix); and many others. We’ve had a plethora of Division I talent grace our tournament. Some of the recent big names include: Aaron and Andrew Harrison (Kentucky), Lourawls Nairn (class of 2014, committed to Michigan State), Buddy Hield (Oklahoma), Van Green (Columbia), Jamelle Horn (Arizona), Shekinna Stricklen (Tennessee), Biko Paris (Boston College), Jeremy Tyler (NBA D-League), Hasheem Thabeet (Oklahoma City Thunder), and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman.
